I think we can all agree that we preferred Baker over Evans. I know I did. Baker is the better player. The more refined talent. The more more technically sound FB player. Once he's gone you have Mayes, Williams, Melifonwu, Evans, and Josh Jones. They are all good and they are all flawed.

Mayes plays FS and SS, but at FS he has a terrible habit of letting WRs get behind him. He got burned so many times this year. This drives me nuts in a FS.

Williams is a ball hawk, but not much help against the run. He is a one dimensional FS. He get's bullied a lot in contact. He better pick off a bunch of throws because he's not going to do much else.

Jones is VERY similar to Evans. Overly aggressive, bad angles, misses tackles, bites on play action.

And Melifonwu? Are we even talking about Melifonwu if there isn't a combine? From tape he looks like an athlete, not a FB player. You might as well throw the combine #s out the window because you don't see them on tape.

Evans has his flaws too. One thing I love about him is his passion. His fire. You don't see that in Williams or Melifonwu. You can't teach that. He's also a fantastic athlete. You can't teach that either. He'll get better coaching in Tampa than in College City and he'll either correct his flaws or he won't.

All five of the guys have a ton of potential, but none of them are Budda.

p.s. Hooker might have more flaws than any of them.
