...and by "likely" you mean something you came up with while smoking blunts with Boomer Esiason?
Cuz marky mark ain't a good gm. That right there is the answer. But if I only relied on this site for bucs info I wouldn't even know Bennett existed. But the marky mark report will probably give us a story next week how our d line coach begged dom to let Bennett go in there never ending effort to glorify there boy.
Schiano didn't run Bennett off. Trust me on that.
So what happened? Care to share? This little game of "I've got a secret" that you and SR play is getting a little old. That is the kind of stuff subscribers want to read and other would subscribe just to read. If you want, put it on an insider article or on the Insider Board and provide a link to it here. That is a way to build your subscription base, which I am sure Hugh would like. Or let me guess, are you protecting your source (probably Mark Dominick)?

Interesting statement that doesn't seem to be getting much attention!!!Doesn't fit the anti-Schiano agenda.
Nah, Mark and Scott have to keep some things close to the vest unless the source tells them they can leak it OR they corroborate from multiple sources. I was a subscriber for years but once Scott unlocked the Fab 5 and the insider board went to crap, I decided to let it lapse. More news is broken on the Red Board then the insider board anyway. They want the hits and advertisers really, subscriptions are likely small potatoes compared to their other revenue sources.
Everyone acknowledges that Dominik made the call about Bennett. But Schiano did his fair share of running off talent from the Bucs. Can't spin that.
Out of all of Dominiks mistakes, including Clayton, this one chaps me the most. If the man is playing like a legitimate starter in this league, start negotiations there. Once you insult a man's pride, he is leaving on principle alone.
Lets see what his stats are when he finally has his contract. People on here were foaming at the mouth wanting Haynesworth, Bryant and Ray Edwards for what they did in contract years and they tuned out to be 3 of the worst long term deals in recent years.
guys ever think they let him test free agency and he liked what Seattle had to offer better? With a 1st round invested in clayborn and a second in bowers.. it was a call that failed. but most GMS would of done. you have to see if your investments will pan out.
He played the run and the pass....worked hard and showed passion......led team in sacks.........yep, we don't need him.

What if Dom wasn't the one that made the call....then what??

Per PR it wasn't Rutgers that ran him off.

We really don't know 100% who made the call. We know Dominik had no problem re-signing Buccaneer players prior to Bennett. We know Bennett wanted to return to be Buccaneer, even going so far as to giving descending percentages the farther he went into FA. And finally, we know he signed a cheap one-year deal. From all reports, it doesn't even look like a Bucs made him an offer before he left. PR reported that Bennett wasn't re-signed because he wasn't big enough for Schiano's defense. The evidence points toward Schiano not wanting Bennett back.
