you do not know for sure that bennett wanted to be here..Freeman said he wanted to be here but behind closed doors wanted a trade or release.

All you guys bashing Dom for not resigning Bennett would have also bashed Dom if he had signed Bennett to big money long term and he spent the season on IR after getting his shoulder fixed. Let's also remember that Bennett did not give us a chance to match like he said he would. Dom did make some mistakes during his time here, but I'm not sure this is one of them.

Big money? I'm just guessing, but based on the contract he signed with the hawks, we probably could have got him for 4 years and around 6 per with a little over 10 guaranteed over the first two seasons. I would be happy to have him at those kinds of numbers. Not sure if that will be possible this off season. Depends on how he finishes his playoff run. Guy like Bennett might have helped prop Schiano up for another season or two. In a way we should be glad we ran off/let go/ gave away some legit NFL talent.
