Puts us at 9-3
Finish at 12-5
interesting, what games do we end up dropping in the back 5?
I think we split with Carolina and Atlanta.
12-5 overall, 4-2 division record.
Historically that makes sense to me but I think we go 5-1...losing at home to Atlanta but sweeping the saints and Panthers
Totally get it and wouldn’t be surprised.
Both SB teams went 4-2 in the division.
And, the most loaded team in franchise history (2021) went 4-2 on their way to a 13-4 record.
As you said, I’m just going off history.
Can’t go wrong with historical analysis for a basis. We’ll also be getting healthier after the bye - but both these games before the bye will be tough 50/50 type games - because of our offensive limitations.
But I also think our horses coming back lends to stealing more late game possessions that will win us some unexpected games, late.
13 games would be absolutely be fantastic.
We are probably better than those division rivals, but division sweeps are tough and unlikely
Lots of optimism. Love it. Go Bucs!
The big wild card has to be getting people back.
Regarding historical analysis - my broker always tells me “pastor performance is not indicative of future success”… so it’s kinda like wetting your dark colored pants: you get a nice warm feeling, but nobody notices.

1. So, according to your broker, if my pastor puts out a good sermon, it doesn't necessarily mean I'll be successful?
2. It's obvious you've never wet yourself in dark colored pants. Everyone notices!!

lmao
Maybe, but if your pastor is playing RB every week after the sermon, it might have more relevance (or maybe Trey Hendrickson is lurking off stage for the just the right moment)?Regarding historical analysis - my broker always tells me “pastor performance is not indicative of future success”… so it’s kinda like wetting your dark colored pants: you get a nice warm feeling, but nobody notices.

Regarding the dark pants theory, you may/may not have a point. I will neither confirm, nor deny it.
i truly hate auto-correct.
Neither team is at full strength, but Lions have a few more pieces in play, but I’m hoping Mike Evans is his usual, force multiplier-self, early enough to get us a fast start.

It seems most here anticipated a potential Lions loss.
The division games take on more significance. Historical trend or sweeps?
Hopefully we have a very motivated team playing against the Saints

i mean, expectations before Baker's Monday night, was a 6-0 sweep. We were Superbowl bound
After that night, i still would say worse case would be 5-1
Appreciate the 4-2 history though and Carolina/Atlanta look their most formidable this year as to any of the last 5 years.
Saints for some reason had our number in the Elite Brady years so that's why it was 4-2
we were absolute dog shit in 2022 and still went 4-1 until we rested starters the last week to go 4-2
4-2 in Bakers first year with us in 2023 with 2 duds against Atlanta and New Orleans
and 4-2 last year with for some reason Atlanta owning us
Is it Carolina's turn this year?
Is it Carolina's turn this year?
I mean, not to type for him but I think that is sort of DH's point and its a good one. Historically speaking, sweeping division opponents is not the norm. Not a betting guy but is there such a thing as a division sweep bet? if so, what are the odds lol?
6-2; I think we all would take that! Especially if somebody were to tell you that Bucky, Evans, Godwin, McMillan, Wirfs, Goedeke would all miss significant time.
2-0 in division with 2 road games
Impressive wins over the Seahawks and 49ers
a prime time win!
not great that the 2 teams many would have ahead of us in the NFC pecking order handled us pretty easily in the eagles and lions but the hope is us at full strength would be a different story
jury still out on gizzard which keeping me up at night
next 3 games are big - patriots, bills, rams
0-3 and looking more like a 11-6 outcome with on the road after first round home game
1-2 and could potentially have 2 home games with outside chance at home field advantage if we go 6-0 in the last 6. Most likely in that run would be 5-1 with a let down loss and 12-5 record
we manage to go 2-1 and we have a real great shot at homefield and first round bye, but can we come to play against buffalo and rams? That’s the question
the impact of the BYE
“It will be huge,” Bowles said, via the team’s website. “It’s halfway through the season. We need it more than anybody. I credit those guys for fighting week-in and week-out, people stepping up and people moving to different positions and helping us win, which you have to do in order to be a good team. So we’ve done that the first half. We’ve got to rest up. It’s going to be a hell of a second half so we’ve got to be ready for it.”
11-6 will easily win us a division but we should be able to finish 12-5 …. at least
If we get to 11-6 AND our horses come back by season’s end we could be dangerous, especially if everyone stays healthy.6-2; I think we all would take that! Especially if somebody were to tell you that Bucky, Evans, Godwin, McMillan, Wirfs, Goedeke would all miss significant time.

If we get Giedeke back after the bye, I’m almost leaning towards seeing us do another line shift. Kick move Barton to RG and Bredesen to Center. We’ve got to keep Baker upright and able to get out of the pocket - but also be able to spring Bucky. He wasn’t able to do much before his injury, behind an awful line.
Still think we’ll need an Edge. The Bengals should be coming back to earth, but hopium may spring eternal for the Jets & Dolphins - so the trade partners aren’t clearing up. Meanwhile, the number of playoff caliber teams needing an edge are only expanding.
Not too worried about the ability to get to 11-6 - but if we do - we need a dynamic offense, or a defense that’s better than NFL average for the playoffs.
I’m more concerned than earlier in the season - but at this point we will at least start getting our horses back into the lineup after the bye week. More of a struggle in the WR room than I thought we’d be having - but still have accomplished a lot!
I trust that Grizz will be self-analyzing his learnings over the bye week as well.
Good timing. Lots to look forward to!
