Offensive Line: Is it really getting blown up? Feb 3 2015, 1:03pmOffenisve Line The one issue I have had with Buccaneers the past decade is the amount of changes we make to the roster year after year. There is no steady nucleus (leaders) that maintain on all three different phases of the game. I have a feeling that Lovie and Licht have started that foundation and plan to slowly build on it, this off season. The offensive line has been an issue but instead of blowing it up, I believe they plan on building from that foundation and only making one or two changes in the upcoming off season. Lets break it down below by each position. Left Tackle: Demar Dotson He has been a gem since he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and signing him for roughly 2 million a year. I don't see why this move wouldn't be permanent for 2015. Demar is currently our best player on the offensive line and hopefully will succeed on the left side as he did on the right side. Left Guard: Logan Mankins Mankins is coming in with a hefty salary, but I believe that Licht plans on taking on that salary for another year so we at least have some experience on the offensive line. He brings that championship pedigree which the bucs lack and hopefully he can help the players better prepare themselves in 2015. Center: Evan Dietrich-Smith Im not a huge supporter of EDS but I expect him to be the center again for the bucs next year. He has struggled in both the pass/run but it seems that the coaching staff will give him another year to prove himself. We should expect a late round draft pick for a center in the draft, we struggled a lot as a whole when EDS was hurt last year. Right Guard: Draft/Free Agency This is an area we either draft in the second or third round in next years draft. Theres the possibility we grab a player via free agency but if the team plans on building through the draft then we should stay on course. Kadeem Edwards is also another possibility but he may need another year to grow in NFL form. Right Tackle: Kevin Pamphile/Draft/Free Agency Kevin was drafted for a reason and that was to be developed into the starter at one point. I think with another off season under his belt he should be able to progress into that starting roll. If this plan does fail, Tampa could be looking at trouble due to the lack of depth for the offensive line. 2015 - Offensive Line Dotson - Mankins - EDS - (Free agency/Draft) - Pamphile I personally believe this will be our offensive line for next year. I think its time we let our team grow together instead of blowing everything up every year. Having an offensive coordinator should help a lot for this team and hopefully with Mankins background he can help the others learn how to prepare for the year. The offensive line is a big issue and it will be the debating factor if the bucs make it into the playoffs next year.link
