Gruden blows. Most overrated coach in recent NFL history. He did NOTHING with this team after the Superbowl season. They were mediocre at best. Didn’t do anything with the Raiders the 2nd time around either. Gruden made a name for himself with his Chucky persona and enthusiasm, but that didn’t make him a great coach. Let’s not forget he’s terrible with personnel.
People are nostalgic about him because of the one season and forget the rest. He did that with a pre-built championship defense. Gruden is NOT a team-builder, and right now, this defense needs a rebuild. He’s not the guy for the job. We can definitely do better, quite possible with one of the Rams coordinators.
