I just feel like with Darnold his window of becoming "the guy" has closed and doesn't necessarily love football. His tape in college was amazing but theres too many inconsistency in his decision making that just says he doesn't love football. He def has the arm talent and athleticism that can still be a top 5 pick if he came out of college, still just 25.
What also I might be writing off as doesn't love football could be he has multiple bad OC thats been fired the season after. A young upcoming coordinator like the Bengals QB coach or the Giants Qb coach, can be the guy to bring him out
I agree with Heineke being a good fit for this offense and team. Bucs need to make him priority number one if we can't get Brady/ Carr. Jimmy G is hurt every single year, whats the point of signing a hurt QB?
Heineke is Favre lite in the right situation with the right coach.
Heineke has to be the guy because the Bucs can not pour a lot of resources into the QB position or else other parts of the team can not be upgraded. No way is Licht going to be able to upgrade the team through the draft alone.
