This might be a fun thing to kill some time before the draft. Here's how it goes. You put together a mock draft for the Bucs ONLY using players from the school you're a fan of. Here I go with Florida State:
1. Derwin James S
2. Derrick Nnadi DT
3. Josh Sweat DE
4. Tavares McFadden CB
5. Auden Tate WR
6. Matthew Thomas LB
7. Jacob Pugh LB
James makes the defensive backfield ten times better. He can cover the TE, cover the deep field and rush the passer. Nnandi is a very strong guy who has a low center of gravity and would be a huge block in Tampa Bay's wall when teamed with G-Mac in the middle. Sweat is a speedy DE who was hampered by injuries in college but wreaked havoc in the backfield when healthy. McFadden is a tall cover corner with good hands who led the NCAA in picks as a freshman and whose play declined last year due to bad coaching. Thomas is a ferociously fast LB with sideline to sideline range. If and when LD goes, his replacement is already on the roster. Pugh is another fast LB who with a little bulk, can be converted to DE and function as a pass rushing specialist. He's also an ace on special teams.
