Only way we get a QB in this draft is if we sign a couple top FA CBs, trade Revis to the Raiders for the 5th overall pick, and then trade the 5th and 7th pick to Houston or the Rams for their 1st and 3rd.Revis + Glennon + whoever we take with the 7th pick or Verner + Shields + Manziel, Bridgewater, or Bortles + a 3rd round pickWhich would you do? I guess it depends how you feel about Glennon and these QB prospects. I know what I'd do.
Lmaoooo. Of course those are the only two options right? So Revis is attached to Glennon? Smfh
Outside of trading Revis for a 1st, do you have another scenario where we have the fire power to trade up into the top 3?
I can't tell if you are joking about the Revis trade. Revis is going nowhere, and nobody would trade a 1st round pick for him (let alone a top pick). Our best bet is for Johnny Football to measure real small and act like a punk in every interview except with Tampa. Honestly, I am not even sure Bortles is a sure fire top 5 either.Manziel or Bortles could be there at 7.
You could probably get up there for our 1 at this year and next with the rams. Crazy but Bortles won't be there when we pick.
Stay at 7 and get your QB a guy that can take a 5 yard slant 60 yards.Watkins
Sadly it looks like Watkins will be gone by the time we pick at 7
looks like it based on what?Texans will take a QBRams need a tackle or QB, they just went WR in rounds 1 and 3 last yearJags are taking a QBBrowns are taking a QBRaiders have needs at QB, OT, and DEAtlanta is gonna take a WR? Doubt it.
If we want a QB get Jimmy Garopollo. That dude can ball.

i have to admit that one site jdub posted had him rated pretty good.. Maybe trade back into the teens if we are targeting him and recoup that 3rd rounder or better. Wouldn't take a chance on him making it to 39 or whatever our second is.

That's the guy I want. DRAFT JIMMY G!!
Vikings, Cardinals and Titans may take him in the 1st...Kid will kill it at the combine. Doubt he lasts to our second rounder... But if he's there = no brainer. If we don't pull the trigger on watkins then yes, trade back and pick our 3rd back up and pick him there...
Jimmy G in the 1st? Wut?
Jimmy G in the 1st? Wut?
LolTime to make a bold move right?
You'all be surprised.
Dude is a damn baller
Jimmy G in the 1st? Wut?
ghe site you posted had him rated just below Bridgewater with a B+ grade. If the real scouts agree he could definitely go in the 1st.
Up in the press box, a prominent NFL executive looked on, with a scout from a division rival seated beside him. This wasn’t the first time an NFL personnel evaluator had attended an Eastern Illinois game this season. According to Rich Moser, the school’s associate athletic director for media and public relations, representatives from all 32 NFL teams — including two general managers — have visited campus.
I like Garopollo. He has great ball placement, nice touch, and a smooth throwing motion. Solid size and enough mobility to move around in the pocket and avoid sacks. It's hard to judge a guy playing verse horrible competition though. Many of those games could be against High school kids. It's just hard to tell how he will transition to the NFL or how long that might take. I'd be all for taking him in the 3rd or 4th round and letting him sit a year or even two.....but the first round? No thanks. He just doesn't look like a guy that is ready to come in and be a starter for an NFL franchise.

Look at those passes and his mechanics... Those will translate. We could coach him up to adapt to the competition because every QB ever selected had to adjust to higher competition.
