About the Pewter Nation Podcast, my own opinion:

I've been meaning to type something about the podcast but have put it off thinking PR would figure it out themselves. But the problem continues. Let me start off that I like the idea and enjoy about 12 minutes of the content twice a week. I enjoy the Buccaneer related content from Scott, Trevor and Mark when it occurs. But here's the problem.

I feel there are too many voices on the podcast. Far too many times the three of you are talking at once. Most of the time you're trying to one up each other and it just doesn't work. Mark, you have a very bad habit of interrupting almost every time Scott or Trevor try to make a point. The three of you seem to think it's a comedy podcast but that doesn't work either. The constant interrupting and back and forth bantering on inside jokes between you makes it seem like there is no preparation for the podcast at all.

There are moments of good content. All of you do know football and are in close contact with the team. I wish we'd get more of that and less of the Three Stooges bit. I don't know if you have a producer but if you take the time to listen to the podcast before it's uploaded to iTunes or wherever I'm sure you'd know what I'm typing about.

Now the real irony. Scott does this imagined impression of long time reader and supporter of Pewter Report Uncle Stan and it was funny for the first couple of times. But the truth is, Stan and even Scott's Stan is right! Time it guys. There is not nearly enough talk about the team we really give a damn about and far too much filler. The problem is the filler has gotten old.

I suggest just having two hosts at a time on the show and with a format that addresses what the hell happened on the previous game and what might or even should happen on the next game. Cut down the comedy routine, the constant interrupting and the ridiculous Florida/Florida State BS.

There are a lot of really good podcasts out there now, good local Buccaneer podcasts. Most of the them are longer than PR's and yet cover the team in a way fans really appreciate. You guys have the talent and inside information, contacts and drive to make this work a lot better than it is using Pewter Report's unique insider's perspective.

Finally, maybe this really is an age thing! Maybe Pewter Report readers really are more interested in who can one up the other with an amusing interruption. If so, I'll get the message and move on as others have done. But I am curious to find out if others agree or disagree with me.

Thanks for your consideration.
