This Sunday, in their Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers in London, the Bucs will be the designated home team, which I’m sure is of little consolation to the fans back in Florida.
But, if you are wondering why (or have forgotten why) the Bucs are being forced to play in London this year, given their schedule, which includes to Los Angeles and Seattle, there’s a good reason why.

Yes, the downside of the Bucs hosting a Super Bowl was giving up a true home game to play in the London series. Not exactly a great deal for the Bucs, but hey, if they can turn things around and make a Super Bowl run next season, they’ll get to play in front of their home fans.
