These talking heads appear to be missing something here...

  All this talk of Revis's agent preferring his client to hit the open market as a FA than take a pay cut is missing a key point. They are ignoring the fact he could be TRADED w/o taking a pay cut, and his current contract is PERFECT for a team that sees themselves as just "1 player away" from winning a Super Bowl, for a ONE YEAR rental. Such a team could do exactly what we ar supposedly doing; keep him for a year, gambling he IS the guy to get them a Lombardi, then trade him or cut him whenever they need that cap relief, with NO dead-money involved.Do I have that all correct, or am I missing something? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000333208/article/darrelle-revis-unlikely-to-be-traded-by-buccaneers
