Is there anyone out there that believes this team, regardless the quarterback situation, is playing up to its capabilities? In other words, given the level of talent, do you believe that we're getting the best out of that talent? I certainly don't. In fact, I don't even think it's close. This team doesn't just look bad, that's missing the forest for the trees... they look inept. Clueless. Befuddled. That falls squarely on the coaches. You cannot tell me that another group of coaches couldn't come into this situation with the same level of talent and get more out of this roster. Buffalo just recently benched their 2nd year quarterback because of poor play. Their offense ranks 26th in the league. So that means their defense is most likely laboring under the same stresses that our defense is: poor field position, lots of 3 and outs, time of possession imbalance, playing from behind or relatively small leads to protect, etc... and yet their defense is ranked 8th statistically. Until Tampa Bay solves the quarterback riddle that has confounded them for pretty much their entire existence, they'll never have an dominating or explosive offense. But there's no excuse, whatsoever, for what we're seeing on the other side of the ball, headed by a guy for whom defense is his forte. Barring a stunning turnaround, it's hard to see how heads wouldn't roll at the end of the season.
