QB play: Winston can do better. Average isn't good enough. Gabbert doesn't have the arm but he is identifying 1 on 1s and pushing the ball downfield.
RB play: Ellington looks like his old self catching and running out there. RoJo looks competent as pass pro which is a good sign and also out there catching passes. Barber? MIA?
WR play: We all slept on Watson this off season but this guy is legit with this size/speed combo. Miller, Perriman and Bobo are not to be forgotten. But Watson...this guy runs routes like a vet.
TE play: OJ Howard...so much potential. Excited to see him put in a full season.
OL play: To loosely paraphrase HC arians...mental errors and they messed (crapped) their pants out there today. To me I think the OL starters are not set if they don't show they can go up against Vea and Suh.
DL play: Vea and Suh. LMAO...That will be fun to watch when regular season rolls around.
LB play: They are flying out there and putting pressure. I love it.
DB play: Similar personnel mostly and yet the scheme change makes them look better already. Davis, VH3, MJ Stewart, I. Johnson, Whitehead. Throw in the rookies and the Bucs might, might have an NFL average secondary. Fingers crossed on that one.
Kickers: Gay and Santos look NFL average which is a huge, huge surprise.
Overall I feel good about most of the team. But that OL is scary bad because it was not just the physicality missing but also the big mental errors out there. Missed assignments is what allowed teams to crush Bucs running game the last few years. That is unacceptable.
