Boy oh boy we got some big balls around here. Be it the fans, HC, media, etc..
Correct me if I’m wrong is this NOT
A) The SAME Buccaneers who are an EMBARRASSING 49-95 since 2011 ???
B) The SAME Buccaneers that have not whiffed a playoff birth in forever. In fact longer than ANY other team in the entire NFC? Finishing dead last 7 of last 9 seasons in NFC South?
C) The SAME Buccaneers that the NFL looks at like a laughingstock. Who gives us ZERO primetime games for over a decade and half?? Never speaks our name any other year.
D) The SAME Buccaneers who with the exception of a few games against weak teams showing they are a pass defense made of tissue paper. You know the one that’s let career backups n guys who can’t throw a ball 20+ yrds in the air look the first ballot HOF QBs?
E) The SAME Buccaneers who hired a HC who’s claim to fame is leading in passing stats with ALREADY great QBs n has not WON a single thing? A DC who was fired by the NFLs WORST franchise in the Jets?
F) The SAME Buccaneers with the WORST winning % in all of Professional sports since they’ve became a franchise in 1976 !!! ( NBA, MLB, NFL) the WORST of the WORST
So ... this SAME franchise whether it’s the HC, fans or media are pouncing and jumping on a QB who WE KNEW was 43! Not like he brought a fake birth certificate with him. A QB who brought us media attention. Who “ IF” he was not here , we would have the SAME QB & Pass D that contributed to most of the 49-95 record this pass decade ? The same QB who has us at 7-4 in position to end a playoff drought. Who won Offensive Player of the Month in just October ? Who just last week dropped 364 n 4 TDs ? Who single handedly outdueled everyone’s favorite young stud in Herbert and dropped 369 4 TDs on the very good Raiders? Who played a flawless 2nd qtr to bury the Packers? Three games we never would have won last year.
Not to mention he’s had losses vs 3 of the top 5 defenses in the NFL !! With a LT getting abused in all 3 and his best guy Marpet out in 2 of them.
I’m sorry , but this whole entity that is the TB Bucs I find embarrassing. Maybe if we had better scheming to “ OFFSET” where we have deficiencies going into a game can help in gaining an advantage. That’s this thing called COACHING. That way the guy who’s more than done his part isn’t being blamed for EVERY single loss. Taking shots like “ If our QB plays good we win” by the HC. Trying to critique a “ deep ball”.. well let’s critique his scrambling ability while we’re at it. Like the Celtics complaining Larry Bird isn’t explosive around the rim.
I mean seriously Ari fans are ecstatic they no longer have Leftwich as OC. Did I miss him as a HOF QB or lights out OC who lead 2-3 teams to SBs n made 1-2 QBs very successful?
Instead of pouncing on a guy who always says it was a great job by the team and never says hey it’s me me me. Has never carried a diva attitude but instead trying to be the ultimate teammate. Maybe we can reciprocate the favor. It’s the same media n fans who put him up who are the first to try n year him down. I’ve been a diehard fan for 37 years. We’ve had maybe 5 seasons in that time to be proud of. He’s by far the BEST thing we could of had this year especially with Covid-19. I just think when factoring ALL factors, he deserves to have a bad game on occasion without the sky falling.
