FYI, Tom Gamble of the Eagles is also among those who the Bucs have an interest in as their new GM. Lovie Smith was the key hire, and I'm glad to see that they're taking their time and hopefully doing the proper groundwork to hire the guy who is going to mesh the best with Lovie and his team when it comes to personnel philosophy.
I mis-read the subject line the first time and thought it said Tom Cable, the Raiders coach that punched one of his staff! I was like, wtf?!?!
Definitely very important whoever we hire can mesh and work well with Lovie but I also want a guy who has a solid track record in personnel and evaluating players. I like Gamble and Vital
From what I've read, I like Gamble the most out of all the candidates.
Gamble is supposedly one of the hot names rising up as a GM of the future.
Worth a shot I guess.
He's also wanted by the fish.
Philly fans are very happy with their top brass and their team right now. They are gloating over the successful season that they had. Would be an epic steal if we could get him!!!
Oh boy, Philly fans. I like gamble too. You have to wonder why some of these guys would come here with diminished control over the Dolphins. Do you all think Lovie's power is working against us?
I like Gamble's resume the best of the candidates mentioned. Only minus for me is his titles have been on the pro personnel side coming up (from what I've read). I would prefer a college scouting guy ideally.
He should talk the eagles in to trading us Trent Cole and Brandon Graham for the low then come aboard to be our GM.A Belichek croonie would have done the same.
