Trash lists from all of you.

So, then where’s yours, Captain Cosplay?

Maybe he just didn't want to look like he was copying Fire's list.

Nah. The Red Board GM's cowardice here is palpable.

He just loves to be a contrarian even when it makes him look dumb. He will die on those hills.

My list:

Brooks

Evans

Sapp

Selmon

Barber

Brady

Rice

LVD

Lynch

Alstott

Wirfs will be there shortly. Godwin has an outside shot. Winfield maybe as well if he shakes off last season.

Winfield played hurt the entire season.  I think him, coupled with Izien, Banks, and Smith all being healthy, the Safety position will be super strong for us in 2025.

when Wirfs eventually gets on, who drops off?

can’t be a HOF could it? Likely means either alsott or rice, right?

1. Brooks

2. Sapp

3. Wirfs

4. Barber

5. Evans

6. Selmon

7. Rice

8. Brady

9. David

10. Lynch

1-3 are home grown and played (or in Wirfs case playing) at historic levels. 4 and 5 were never the best but 10+ years of greatness. I fit Selmon here because he had a shorter career and wasn't part of a championship, no fault of his own. Rice and Brady were the best players on the championship teams. David and Lynch were similar to Barber and Evans, just a notch below.

Based on my list it's would be Lynch or Alstott. I think I'd probably drop Lynch despite having him one spot higher.

@badabingbucs , well done, one or another could be slightly shifted up or down and that's it. #55 is No.1, no doubt about that!

however, I would not put Brady in there

This is a tough one and especially when you have Brady on the list.  Tough because it's dropping a DECADE long Buccaneer in the Buccaneer ROH, for Brady, basically a 2 year rental. Bother Buccaneer SB winners, bother All-Pro while a Buc, I think.

No right or wrong on these things. Brady more individually credited with the most recent SB than Lynch as one of a great defense.  Brady also the GOAT, but thats why I mention th decade . . and if the question is top 10 BUCCANEERS (as opposed to players)?

Most think of Brady as a Patriot, I would think. Maybe most now associate Lynch with his GM role wht the 49ers, not sure, but while here he was a huge part of that era.

Interesting stuff

Heresy is some circles here but Lynch wasn't a Hall of Famer.  I know, I know, he's in the Hall but, man, his stats are just not HOF worthy in my opinion.

It's like Lynn Swann or Joe Namath.  There were moments but the day in and day out tape just doesn't tell an all-time story.

That said, he's a top 10 all-time Buc or at least super close.

Brady put the Bucs on the map

they were the media darlings and he changed the culture from a decade of shit to a winning culture

even after he left, the impact is felt. He won us a Super Bowl and changed the culture so even tho only with us for 3 years, he deserves a spot more than say Mike alstott

love Mike but he’s overrated because of being a fan favorite

You're highlighting why these discussions can be so interesting.  So many tentacles. If Lynch is not a HOFer then you could argue that a non-HOFer by stats arguably holds back someone like Rice from the HOF on the basis that only so many from that defense are getting in . . et etc etc.

Lynch is also then an example that there is more to the HOF than pure stats, which brings u back to Rice who is almost a pire stats play, as compared to Lynch.

Fascinating.  and i think why it is a good thing that teams also have Rings of Honor.

I may be in the minority here, but I think it was Arians and Licht who really changed the culture.

I say that because there are TWO sides to the Tom Brady coin.  On the first side, he did exactly what makes him a GOAT . . he challenged everyone and definitely raised the standard and we won a Super Bowl.

Cant emphasize that enough.

However, he also ended his time here with a vanity play (like many great players do) where he mostly unraveled all the good he had done.

If you listen to many of the players who are winning now under Bowles they had totally tuned out Brady 2022 because, at least in part, he no longer walked the walk. The GOAT Brady would have never gone to a party over training, as one example.

If Brady is a top 10 Buc player, then Gruden is the greatest Bucs coach?

I dont know thats true lol, but the point is Gruden did sort of the same thing Brady did, he came in and challenged EVERY player.  He raised the standard. Even Derrick Brooks says that.

BUT, just like Brady Gruden was a coin with two sides.

With Brady in 2022 the Bucs went down THROWING . . basically abandoning the run and throwing and throwing even more. And that power-driven imbalance ended their season

With Gruden post 2002, his "power driven imbalance" was a belief that HE could win with any QB, so use the power to stage a coup (Allen for Mckay) and then pass on Rodgers for Caddy .  . etc.

Human beings, both of them.

That's a tough call.

Would probably have to go with Lynch as well here.

Exactly.

Took a shit culture and made it a winner overnight.

That culture still permeates throughout the building.

Funny as shit watching him throw right back at Baker on TV, when pressed about his "intense" approach.

"If I want to have fun, I'd take my kids to Disney". That's a fucking all-timer from the GOAT.

Another thing that doesn't get talked about enough is the Canton effect.

Brady is going to be a HUGE reason why Mike and Lavonte get in.
