Brady was the guy that turned the franchise around. Any argument otherwise is pretty foolish.
Bingo
1. Tony Dungy - didn't win the big one, but the franchise was laughing stock for 2 decades before he changed the culture
2. Jon Gruden - Won a Super Bowl, had a few other playoff seasons
3. Bruce Arians - Won a Superbowl, benefited from Brady, but short lived, only coached 3 years
Bruce is over Gruden. Not even close.
Brady was the guy that turned the franchise around. Any argument otherwise is pretty foolish.
Bingo
Brady was here because Licht was here with Arians/Bowles
No Licht ... no Brady
that's not foolish that's FACTS
Same thing with the coaches. Without Dungy there is no SB ready team for Gruden to take across the finish line.
Gruden might by 3rd in that line up but he also wins his SB in his 30s? Maybe he's just turned 40? Dungy is in his 50s. Arians even older? Not sure.

Speaking of winning culture, here's Licht's record prior to Brady arriving:
34-62 (one winning season).

Licht is a GM but NOT credited with the talent he brings in?
now that is foolish. JC-level foolish
The Steelers are making their Brady-type play with Rodgers. Very anti-Steelers, but a chance to compare GM to GM?
The Falcons tried their move with Cousins
Here's a pretty fair summary of Licht from an article placing him as the #10 GM and suggesting the Bucs need to win now
"10. Jason Licht, Bucs
The Bucs “should” have fired Jason Licht after 2019. Coming off a 7-9 season, he was 34-62 (.354) after six years on the job and had ridden the Jameis Winston “era” into the ditch. You know what happened next. Tom Brady wanted to move to Tampa and the rest was history. Brady’s last ride, of course, could have only worked with what turned out to be a deceptively-great Licht roster, and the personnel man finally earned some newfound respect. But then Brady retired and surely that was the end of it, right? Licht’s latest reinvention has been even more surprising than the first. It’s easier to win when you have the greatest player of all time. Much less so after he retires, but Licht has continued to thrive. The Bucs have not only won back-to-back division titles without Brady, they have done so in a fashion that’s gotten back-to-back OCs head-coaching jobs. There is still work to be done."
Lichts' tenure begins under the disaster of Lovie and then the Hobson's choice of Mariota/Winston, but he turned that around with Arians and then Brady.
A then post-Brady . .
ANYWAY, reasonable minds can differ BUT HERE IS THE THING YOU HAVE TO ASK IF YOU ARE SUGGESTING the BUCS CULTURE IS BRADY and NOT LICHT . .
All the Bucs stars on the roster now who resigned contracts over the last two years . . . .even with Canales leaving and a supposedly inept HC . . all those guys who were supposedly waiting on Mayfield to sign his deal and then Evans . . and then the rest signing to keep the team together . . Godwin this offseason.
Are they eagerly resigning with the Bucs in 2023 and 2024 because . .
"the GOAT used to play there!"
OR
because of the team CULTURE that Licht has built, in part resigning his drafted stars to second contracts?
No Licht ... no Brady

I'm not sure what's more foolish, that argument or this one:
If the Buccaneer list is really a list of best players who were Buccaneers, then Brady is arguably #1
Arguably? The perpetually uninformed is good for nothing if not a chuckle.
Biggs your dishonesty has no bounds. In an earlier post you criticize Arians for failing to deliver on something he said about Winston lmao.
Coach speak?
lmao
and of course your predictable limp troll

Not surprised to see yet another straw man from you.
We are talking about a winning culture. Not talent.

it's not a "strawman" to point out the flaw in your argument by extending it.
we are both discussing culture. I said the culture you assign to Brady (even though he's gone and the team has done better with less ) begins with Licht. He is the wellspring.
perpetually uninformed is good for nothing if not a chuckle.
Today is like ... yesterday. And the day before. And before.
back to when White actually was RB1
and beyond
:-)

Done BETTER?!
Lol!!!!!
Clearly, happy hour has started early today.

Oh, so now we’re “extending it”.
So, the Glazers are actually the ones who changed the culture. After all , they’re the ones who hired Licht.
Wait, we should actually credit Malcolm for it. Because if he didn’t buy the franchise, his kids would’ve never inherited it.
But, then again, maybe we should credit C Jr. for selling the team to Malcolm.
