I just wanted to get a barometer of what exactly the fans main concerns are going into this season. Suffice it to say, we aren't always right, but lately the majority of the fanbase has been calling out this franchise, and actually being correct about it(as we're finding out).My top five concerns for this team.1. Mccoy being re-signed.As they say, "not until the fat DT sings." Seriously, "make it rain" Mark D couldn't get this guy signed. He threw money around everywhere, on lesser individuals, so you can bet when there was negotiations, Mark surely was willing to back up as many brinks trucks as he needed. I want to say he'll stay, but between his hunger for $, and licht's historically tight spending, it looks like a recipe for disaster. We, in no way, want mac to get to FA.2. Continuation of mccown's success. Was it a fluke? Did the surrounding cast make him look better? Or, did he just figure it all out? I don't know the answer, and I'm sure not impressed with his previous history, but I'd graciously give him a chance to prove it. The trouble is, this isn't the bears trestman offense. Maybe we have similar body types, but the offense isn't the same with tedford running it. Hopefully he can duplicate it, and we have had so ok runs with a fa qb or two before, but putting all the eggs in one basket is still worrisome to me.3. Clayborn.Does he ball, or fall? A solid rookie season is all we've seen of him. In lovie's system however, he has a chance to recoup his career. Overnight he goes from playing coverage on sproles, to actually chasing the qb (without smoke and mirror tactics). There have even been rumors that they have been working with him in a jj watt like role.4. MJ, and what this mains for the dline.Theoretically, the guy should be a monster out there. He has all the tangibles a football player could ever ask for. I'm ok with his signing, and think he will do well, but the question that remains in my head is, "how well?" Are we saying clayborn rookie season "well," or jarred allen's average "well?" One season, like mccown, is a tough sell to me.5. Can martin make the transition into tedford's offense? It would be easier if martin just owned a bigger set of hands. Ironically, his catching stats throughout his college and nfl career weren't phenomenal, but they were respectable. We don't need another major mix up for the second year in a row if you ask me, so hopefully martin can do the things not previously asked of him in sully's system. What are your main concerns heading into this season?
