Rumor the eagles may move either Josh sweat(I guess he tweeted his good byes already) and or Hassan reddick.
sweat is only 26 and has base salary just over a million this year. Also a contract year.
would be the more realistic of the 2.
could likely be had for a 3rd maybe even a 4th.
thoughts?
Would think either comes with an extension but would agree that’s one of our biggest weaknesses
They have to do something at edge that just isn't drafting a rookie. This pass rush has no juice and we think a late 1st round rookie is going to fix it? Why can't they free up money in creative ways to get into the Chase Young hunt with the Saints etc? Or trade for Sweat. There's guys out there.
Licht has already called this "one of the best FA hauls ever". The guys hubris is unbelievable.
He hasn't addressed any of the teams biggest weaknesses at edge, CB or OL. In fact the CB has become worse. All we have done is mostly bring back the same squad minus Davis and plus Whitehead.
If you think late picks in the draft are going to fix all these holes than that is delusional. There's still time in FA so I won't judge it overall until we see what happens.

2021 offseason was way more impressive - Shaq, David, AB, Gronk, Fournette, Godwin, Suh, Succup
yes retaining what we did this offseason was great but how can you say best ever when not a few years ago we brought back the entire starting line-up from our Superbowl year.

If the Eagles trade Josh Sweat it would be before his roster bonus is due. They're not going to pay him the bonus and then trade him to save $1M.
I absolutely think we should trade a 4th or 5th for Sweat. He has a low salary this year and would be a huge hole to fill now. It would be the same as signing him to a one year prove it deal if he were a FA. We could also work out an extension pre-trade. This would allow us to draft a beast center at 26 or BPA. Thoughts?
Move up and get the pass rusher you want in the draft.

I think that is the plan IMO.
Latu is probably the target.
I hope we do, but that’s going to cost additional picks and/or players… so, which of your children do you love the least?
And if you don’t love them, the other team won’t either.
It seems like we might just as easily value moving down, as much as moving up? Unless there’s a target the staff/FO really have their eye on - and would be willing to sacrifice picks in order to move up.
Again, I would love to be wrong & I hope so.
I agree 100%. Based on needs and the simulations I’ve done we’re gonna be better picking a little higher, or trading down (and then back up into the 2nd round). The 2nd round is LOADED
As far as assets the only trade-able players on the team are Robert Hainsey and Anthony Nelson
Hainsey has value as depth right now so the pick would have to be generous in my mind. A 4th perhaps?
Nelson is in similar position, albeit has less value to other teams. But right now I don’t think the team moves on until they see what they doing the draft. If they take an EDGe early or that is surely the plan I could see them taking a 7th round pick for ole’ boy because he’s the odd man out on the roster

IMO, getting anything more than a 6th for Hainsey would be a pipe dream.
You’re probably right about that. But in that case; the Bucs would keep him based on his experience. I’m just saying he’s the only guy who COULD be traded. But ya it would have to be a desperate buyer
just saw TB just restructured Evans new contract clearing 17 mill in cap space. Hope they cleared that to grab a decent remaining edge, and maybe a starting caliber starting IOL.

This isn't an accurate report. They were simply confirming the original deal (and the presumed savings).
Right now, we have roughly $5-$6M in cap space.
