Lets not forget Wright was basically the second best option behind Jackson last year towards the second half of the season.  After injuries to  Williams, Martin, Stocker, James, etc.. we needed someone to somewhat help with offensive production and as a ROOKIE he was very impressive.  Teams even said they game planned against Timmy and double teamed him on 3rd downs but he was still able to produce.  We all think ASJ will be a good tight end but guess what he hasnt proved anything at the pro level.  All we have is potential at this point with ASJ but we had Tim who showed he could produce at the NFL level. http://vimeo.com/99937998 I think he has an opportunity to have a really good career in New England.  He wont the primary or secondary target in many plays but if he's open Brady will get him the ball accurately. Anyway, I thought he had the potential to grow after that awesome rookie season.  Oh well.  Bottom line, I think we got fleeced by New England.  But I cant be too mad, New England has been doing that to us on a consistent basis so you cant really be surprised when it happens.  Mankins is a need yes, but the dude probably has 2 years of above average play left in him.  We're throwing away the future to win now.  I dont mind that if we win it all.  I think the Bucs go to the playoffs this year but they're not at an elite level to go deep or win it all.  But who knows, Lovie has said we're going to win this year and there are no excuses if we dont so we'll see.
