The more I have been thinking about this... the more I think we need to trade up. Q. Williams is the guy we should be targeting. I am wondering if the 49ers or Jets would take something like:
Our 5th pick, next year's 2nd, and McCoy or JPP (bad scheme fit)... for the 2nd pick? I think it would need to be a draft-day trade, as it would be conditional on Williams still being there.
Listen, no one in the draft is a sure thing... but this makes a lot of sense to me. The point is, if Williams and Allen are gone by the time we pick, I think we will really regret that... especially Williams. If Allen is gone, at least there are people like Sweat and Burns to consider. But, no one in the draft is even comparable to Williams.
