Gage had a nice sideline catch today — key for him will be staying healthy and he’s a solid WR3. Mostly young guys after that, but Palmer, Thompkins have looked good.

Yaya Diaby with a nice diving interception of a deflected pass. He’s had a good day.

Bowles said he’s been “very pleased” with how rookie Cody Mauch has handled working as first-team right guard in first week of training camp.

On the defensive end, Bucs' six interceptions in five practices:

LB SirVocea Dennis 2
S Antoine Winfield
OLB Yaya Diaby
CB Zyon McCollum
S Nolan Turner

We've tweeted about them individually, but after five Bucs practices, Baker Mayfield has thrown four interceptions (two today, one deflected) and Kyle Trask has only one. Turnovers were arguably the biggest concern about Mayfield going into the competition.

Trask with a quick throw to Mike Evans for another touchdown.

I'm hoping some eyes are opening to what I have been saying for a while that the prior offensive coaching staff was the problem, not Trask. Now that he's being given a chance and some solid coaching, he's starting to show what he can do. A lot of the things that Baker has been getting talked up about (camaraderie with the other players, being vocal, etc.) were the reasons why Franks beat out Trask for the job in 2018 and 2019. Injury forced Trask to play in the Kentucky game and it was a night and day difference. Trask knew where to go and confidently put the ball in the right spot time after time. The NFL does require putting more heat on the ball for certain throws, and it looks like he's learning how to do just that. He never had a noodle arm, just a penchant for arcing passes into the spot, something that's harder to consistently do in the NFL.

He's also finally getting a chance to play with the top guys. If Mayfield keeps getting picked, and it shows up in the preseason, Trask will be the guy as long as he continues to improve and takes care of the ball while making plays. I'm also glad Vaughn, another guy that was getting the shaft from the prior coaches, is finally getting a chance to show how good he can be as well. Would love to see Vaughn and White both play well. It will make it that much harder for defenses to go against us and stop our running game.

Thompkins is outplaying all the other WRs not named Godwin/Evans at the moment.

NCB battle is going to be tight with many candidates.

Palmer and Durham need to pick it up.

Mauch seems to be fine so far but not so sure about Goedeke.  Too early to say either way.

@donkey_hunter IMHO, Gage has yet to be healthy.  You can't make the club being in the tub. Either he gets "well" or he gets gone.

Bucs are alternating this, but Trask working with the first line today as they open 11-on-11 work.

He has been having a nice camp , wouldn’t be shocked if he lands a roster spot

Rookie corner Keenan Isaac picks off Mayfield on a throw intended for David Moore.

Red zone period underway as Kyle Trask hits Mike Evans for a 20-yard touchdown. Josh Hayes broke on the ball, but it snuck by him to Evans, who dunks through the goalpost

Sounds like Baker keeps putting it in the wrong hands and Trask just keeps on doing what he's been doing the last couple of days. Also sounds like Bowles isn't too thrilled with the turnovers. If Mayfield does this in the preseason, and Trask keeps it clean while still making plays, Trask will be the guy. It's going to be an interesting next couple of weeks.

Kyle Trask looking good in two-minute with back-to-back throws down the middle to Geiger and tight end David Wells.

In final period, Trask got offense down to goal line but couldn’t close it out — dumpoff to Ronnie Brown close to end zone, then nice catch by Payne Durham but stopped short of pylon.

Per pr

#Bucs TE Cade Otton says Kyle Trask has a surprising level of control of the offense and has come a long way as a QB

#Bucs QB Baker Mayfield says that WR Deven Thompkins can “jump out of the gym.” His body control is unbelievable.

Mayfield added he thinks WR Rakim Jarrett is a real steal
