It seems every year there's a team that looked like a loser coming into the season, but rises up and turns into a surprise team in the mix for the play offs. We did it in 97. Not sure why anyone would be so down on a team that has as much talent as this one does. The defense is absolutely loaded. The offense has tons of skill at the receiver, TE, and RB spots. The offensive line and QB spots are really the only areas of uncertainty. So far, the QB's don't appear to be a major problem (we'll know more in preseason), so it all comes down to the line. It may take them a few games to get to the point where they are playing solid, but they should be able to be good enough in this offense. I wouldn't be as free of concern if we were still running the Arians 5-7 step drop offense, though.

Definitely not a good sign but trying to hope for a positive maybe it’s just camp, taking shots etc.
really impossible to say without the context
focusing on the positive, is Trask moving the offense while keeping the INT’s down? That would be great.
Well, you could chalk it up to learning a new system and getting on the same page as the receivers .... but then Trask should be having the same difficulties which he apparently isn't. Frankly, I don't mind a turnover or two. That's going to happen. A tipped ball or a bad throw. We need the ability to scramble, because the only QB in the league who didn't need that just retired. Just don't be stupid about it. We don't need the return of the Winston years where the QB just can't learn to throw the ball away. We'll see during the preseason games. It will be clear as day to anybody watching what Mayfield is all about. I don't expect perfect accuracy, but I'll be looking at whether he is making smart decisions. Does he try to do too much? Does he try to make throws that aren't there? Does he know how to throw the ball away or take a sack without fumbling? Or is he going to run around until somebody knocks the ball out? And the same goes for Trask. We'll have to depend on the defense to keep us in games. We're going to have to battle and win close games, not blow their doors off with an aerial attack. Just don't hand them the ball at their own ten yard line.𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: #Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield has thrown 7 interceptions in 9 practices so far this training camp, per @gregauman

then Trask should be having the same difficulties, or he would be playing it safe. But apparently he isn't. We'll see what happens in the games. But
We don't need the return of the Winston years
Mayfield's career QBR is a point less than Winston's...just saying.
More RZ fades to Mike Evans today.
What is this sorcery?

I agree with the implied premise, get ball to Evans more… particularly in RZ and with RZ fade BUT … since you “watch film” and subscribe to “analytics”..
How often did last years Bucs actually get to the RZ (relative to other teams)?
one of the lowest in the league? (Just guessing)
When they were in the RZ last year, (especially early) wouldn’t the Evans RZ fade be limited by the safety over the top?
early on no Gronk, no Godwin, no run game, no ability to stop 4 rushers lol … basically take Evans away was the opposition mission.
(I am a huge Evans fan, on and off the field)
Not sure how reliable but

Nope. They were middle of the pack. Ranked 18th.

Umm…no.
Brady after Week 6
”"They've just done a good job of kind of making sure he's covered," said Brady. "Any time Mike's open, I'm going to try to get him the ball. But the guys have been doing a good job defending it, and we've just got to make other plays. Until they allocate help elsewhere we have to make the plays elsewhere. It's just a matter of keep finding the open guy. My job is to drop back and find the open guy. Mike's usually open when he's got the right matchup, but when they really try to take him away I've got to find other guys. That's my job."
KEY COMMENT:
”until they allocate help elsewhere…we have to make plays elsewhere”
the story of the season (on offense)
Really encouraging thing about Canales might be the emphasis on having an effective run game and short passing. I think last year defenses across the league dropped in cover a lot (meaning extra db, rush four).
to the extent the league cycles in and out of philosophies, the timing might be right
You realize there’s a difference between plays between the 20’s and RZ, right?
