Someone please help me understand why you think this guy should be our starting QB next season.
Only reason would be if they are trying to tank
He flashed
scary thought he might be our qb next year
silver lining it’s a strong QB class in the draft.
It will be a training camp battle between Trask, Gabbert and a low budget free agent like Minshew. They can't afford to pay $20 or $30 mil for an average QB like Geno Smith or Jimmy G. It won't be as bad as you think. Brady hasn't been very good this year. I'm jealous every time some two bit QB like Ridder or pretty much every other QB in the league scrambles out of trouble, buys a few extra seconds and makes a play. Brady is pretty much the only QB in the league who can't do that, and it's what makes this offense so uninspiring this year. We need a QB who can escape a pash rush rather than throwing the ball to the ground in 1.2 seconds. When Brady is gone everybody will moan and groan, and then will be shocked when the offense starts to actual produce some points next year, whether its Trask or somebody else.
Not a very good showing. Gabbert was way better.
Traskforce, once Brady leaves we will be irrelevant again for 15 years until Mahomes signs with us past his prime

Yeah.
I’m jealous too.
Hell, all that play making!
Last week in the 4th quarter, Brady put up twice the amount of TD’s than Ridder’s put up in 4 games.
Bucs fans who haven’t been around here very long will be very unhappy once Brady moves on.

Not to mention, the TD Brady threw today was another rollout. The Professor here called that being a “mobile QB” a few weeks ago.
Trask and "trash" are nearly the same word.
God knew what he was doing when he named their family 'Trask'...

Yeah that was one game. What about the other 16? I'm not trying to complement Ridder by calling him "two bit". I'm just telling you when I watch NFL games I see QBs scramble out of trouble. Except Brady. Look, Brady's QB rating on NFL.com was 90.7, just barely ahead of Taylor Heineke, Jarrett Stidham and Marcus Mariota and behind Daniel Jones, Kirk Cousins and Sam Darnold. and Newsflash: Brady will be one year older next year than he was this year.
But look, even if (which I don't believe) Brady is the only reason this team was just average, and we are so bad that if you take Brady out we would be plummet to the bottom, then that's what we should do. We should find that out one way or the other. Then we can get a top five draft pick if it's really that bad. There's no point in keeping him around just so we can be 9-8 or 8-9. There has to be a plan for the future, not just trying to hang onto a shell of the past.

Weird, right?

Exactly.
They got a sneak preview of the other QB’s under the offensive guru known as Lefty.
I think the problem with your logic is that you are putting this 8-9 season on Brady when most of us put it on coaching, offensive play calling, less talented team, offensive line play. Don’t get me wrong, his divorce and not wanting to get hit hurts us but he was like that in 2020,2021. What changed? The offensive line play.
make no mistake about it. Brady needs a lot of help in his fuckin 40s hence the reason he chose Tampa, a talented team only a QB short.
Brady would have 40 + Touchdowns with the niners. What say you?
Brady’s decision making alone won us 8 games. Without him, we are likely a 3,4 win team. You are out of your mind if you think this team is in the playoffs without him or with a Derek carr or jimmy g. The coaching was god awful. Single handedly lost some games
Jensen back next year, sign OBJ, talk Gronk out of retirement, draft a tackle
if Bucs lose first round, fire Bowles and lefty; trade first for Payton.
QB Brady
RB Fournette/White
WR Evans, Godwin, OBJ
TE Gronk
T Wirfs/Smith
C Jensen
G mason/hainsey
I mean if we can make it work, might be able to talk Brady into staying.
It’s all dependent on niners and dolphins and what they do
