I'm jealous every time some two bit QB like Ridder or pretty much every other QB in the league scrambles out of trouble, buys a few extra seconds and makes a play.
Yeah.
I’m jealous too.
Hell, all that play making!
Last week in the 4th quarter, Brady put up twice the amount of TD’s than Ridder’s put up in 4 games.
Not to mention, the TD Brady threw today was another rollout. The Professor here called that being a “mobile QB” a few weeks ago.
Weird, right?
Wow OK sure, dude. There was no pass rush because the Falcons were so shocked that Brady was actually rolling out and throwing to Kyle Rudolph. So Brady took three steps and heaved it up there before the Falcons could put their jaws back in place. That's the most rolling out Brady has done all year.
Tom Brady is #1 in the league in Time to Throw at 2.45 sec. There are no QBs from 2.45 to 2.55, then there are seven QBs from 2.55 to 2.65 and nine from 2.65 to 2.75. So Brady is not just #1 in getting rid of the ball, he's #1 by a lot. And 2.45 compares to 2.5 from 2021 and 2.57 in 2020, so he's getting faster. In 2021 Brady was 2nd place behind only the statuesque Big Ben at 2.38 who retired the next year. It's Brady's time to retire now, and I'm sure he won't waste any time doing that after the season.
Will we miss Tom Brady next year? We're missing him this year. 2022 Brady is not the Brady of old. That's why I don't think next year will be a drop-off.
Brady would have 40 + Touchdowns with the niners. What say you?
Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy has 13 TDS in 6 games, so what would that be in 17 games? About 37? So yeah Brady could get 40 in SF like pretty much any QB in the league. How can you say the Bucs would have lost more games? The Bucs scored 18.5 points per game WITH Tom Brady healthy the entire year. The only teams worse had injured QBs and all of them missed the playoffs. Our offense sucked this year, and if it was other factors for why it sucked, the fact is Brady didn't elevate it. This was NOT an 8-9 offense this year. It is already a 3-14 offense! It was the defense that kept us in games and allowed Brady to pull off a couple games we didn't deserve to win. The defense is the reason we are in the playoffs this year.
Yeah that was one game. What about the other 16?
He threw for over 4500 yards and a plus 3/1 TD to INT ratio?
I'm just telling you when I watch NFL games I see
You’re the same guy who said Hargreaves was worthy of a 1st round pick because he made a game saving tackle. So, there’s that.
But look, even if (which I don't believe) Brady is the only reason this team was just average,
He’s not the reason this team was average. He’s the reason this team is in the playoffs.
Wow OK sure, dude. There was no pass rush because the Falcons were so shocked that Brady was actually rolling out and throwing to Kyle Rudolph.
So, in other words, the guy who you claimed can’t “roll out”…actually…”rolled out”…
…in your own words.
did you watch the games?
the take that Brady is washed comes from somebody that just looks at box score and isn’t watching play by play
don’t get me wrong, he was certainly a reason to the teams averageness but to suggest he was a top 5 contributor to the teams shit makes me think you did t watch the games
That's the most rolling out Brady has done all year.
No, it isn't. It's at least the third time it's happened for a TD. You just don't pay attention very well, Professor.
Brady’s decision making alone won us 8 games.
he is the BIG reason, maybe the only reason (?), that most people would even think this team has a chance in the playoffs. And many people who say that get around the OBVIOUS bad team play in the season by suggesting some version of the "the Bucs have been sandbagging" lol
Slow delivery and ball has no velocity.
I'm optimistic about next year and regardless if Brady returns or not, but I do think he will be returning.
a few things I feel good about (pretty much in order):
- new OC - Reynolds keeps mentioning Monken - that alone would be amazing even if all else remained equal
- Jensen return
- May be perfect time for D.Smith and Wirfs to swap places
- Godwin at 100%
- Rachaad White in year 2 as the feature back
- Shaq Barret back and hopefully still good.
- replacing what didnt work at receiver with another offseason retool (julio gone, scotty gone, gage maybe gone and bring in new guys)
- possibly save 3 mil and release Fat Lenny
- young guys developing further - the two TEs in particular and hopefully some of the defensive guys
- another FA and draft class (hopefully an early round OT added to the mix)
Also I do have a sneaky suspicion Gronk could come back again - I find very interesting that he's remained close to his NFL TE size this whole time. his first retirement from NE we saw him shed weight drastically and fast. I wouldnt be surprised if they had the talks late this year but decided not to bother because of the way we were looking (thanks Byron)
Wow, misquote me much? Brady is "washed" in the Brady world where he's the GOAT. He's not the GOAT anymore. He's average. He didn't elevate the team. If he did, we wouldn't have a moribund offense.
"He’s the reason this team is in the playoffs." No, the suckitude of the Saints, Panthers and Falcons is the reason this team is in the playoffs. Brady is the 18th QB by QB rating. He's average. 18 points a game, Donkey. 18.4 points a game.
"He is the BIG reason, maybe the only reason (?), that most people would even think this team has a chance in the playoffs" Yes because we know what he can do if he can get things rolling, not because of what he did do. We hope he can pull some of the old Tom Brady out of his ass and make something happen. But that didn't happen during the season, except for one game, and there's no reason to think it will happen next season.
You can defend Brady all you want. Points is how you measure success in the NFL. Points and wins. Brady's 18 rating is an accurate assessment of where he stands at this point in his career.
Brady did elevate the team. We had several 4th quarter come backs, as one example.
But, you can’t expect a team to just win because he’s the QB, especially at 45
we had the WORST running game AND the fastest (and maybe shortest) throwing QB in the league? Both are a reflection of a bad line or the latter is at least a reflection that Brady thought we had a bad line lol
and those short, quick throws were NOT going to a HOF TE or even a healthy Godwin. They were going to rookie TEs and an injured Godwin or maybe Lenny, who can catch but certainly is not a breakaway threat.
Because of all that suck we were behind a lot this year. We also didn’t sustain a ton of drives. That hurts the defense
its a team sport. All things are related.
NFL football is NOT complicated. If you were game planning against the Bucs, especially now in the playoffs, you’d play 2 deep to try to negate Evans. The Bucs would most likely be UNABLE to punish you out of that defense because they
CANNOT RUN
DONT HAVE A SEAM SPLITTING TE
So rush 4 with occasional double A gap blitzes and basically try to stop … who? Godwin. Okay, he’s great and looks more healthy but he is ONE player.
play to make the Bucs go the length of the field and even then bog down in the RZ because no run game, limited mismatch threats.
who is are “can’t stop him” RZ target? We don’t have one.
Brady is "washed" in the Brady world where he's the GOAT. He's not the GOAT anymore.
Either you don’t know what GOAT means or you’re completely clueless.
Sweet Geebus, dude.

lolz, another clueless wonder.
