One site sees the Bucs with the 7th overall pick
They are also still in the playoff hunt
Do they role with Trask now? But if he's better than Mayfield how would that be tanking?
Whats the next move at OBP?
what do you want them to do (tank?) and what do they actually do after that los to the Colts?
Fire Bowles, promote Canales
go with Baker until you fall to 2 games back in the division
If that happens, go to Trask
could happen as soon as next week. Need to fire Bowles either tonight or tomorrow morning though

sounds like a good plan even if we all know it will not happen lol
Bowles isn’t getting fired in season. You ruin conversations with that drivel.
My question to those who don’t want to see Trask: what is the end game with Mayfield? 6-11 and then he signs a 3 year, $75M deal without us ever seeing Trask in a game ?

is the reason because the Glazere don’t do that? Sometimes history is made my friend
or are you suggesting he doesn’t deserve to be fired and potentially is our guy next year

I’m not a Bowles guy but they’re not going to fire him in season. They’re just not. I don’t know why this has to be explained.
It's obvious that Baker isn't the guy to carry this team. His limitations are holding the offense back. It's time to move on. Put Trask in and see what happens. If he plays well and keeps improving to be a better starter than Mayfield has been, you keep him and draft other needs in the draft. If he sucks and can't get it together, you draft a QB in the first round, assuming a first round grade QB is still there when we pick (very likely this year). If he's OK, then you have to make a tougher decision on draft day. This is why we should have went with Trask from the start. We'd already have our answer, and, worst case scenario, we'd be in the same boat we are now, but we'd know the answer. Best case, we would know we have the guy and where to focus on the future. They never should have signed Baker, unless he was coming in as a veteran backup for Trask to lean on. This will be a wasted year if they don't find out what Trask has or doesn't have.
If they need an excuse to bench Mayfield, use the ankle MRI. I'm sure it's going to show a significant sprain, and you, as a team, can make the call to hold him out so you can finally get a look at Trask, and this week's game would be the best way to do it against the one win Panthers.

Yea there’s nothing to be gained by Mayfield beating Carolina. Let’s see Trask light them up then have some juice going into Atlanta.
lol if they didn’t put trask in this game, it’ll take a coaching change to even consider trask
Think about it. Mayfield looked dead limping on that knee and they didn’t even have Trask play the next series
guy is playing closer to another contract which I disagree with.
hell I wanted him benched in the second quarter. Trask won’t see time until Bucs fall out of contention. Not sure why this has to be explained

I'm pretty sure we all know that Bowles is too stupid to move on from Baker. That's not the point. We're just stating what should happen, and what we want to see happen. Nothing more. If Bowles knew how to sit underperforming players at the right time, JTS would have been behind Ya Ya weeks ago. Feiler wouldn't have had to get injured to get Stinnie in there. Goedeke wouldn't have started all those games last year before finally being pulled for Leverette. Ryan Neal wouldn't have been starting so long. Etc... etc... Todd's inability to pull the plug as soon as it's obvious that a player isn't the solution, is why he's going to end up getting fired and likely never be a Head Coach again. Hell, it's progress that he's even starting to make some changes from time to time, like sitting JTS for Diaby. He's just too slow to change.
The Bucs are definitely tanking if they keep Mayfield as the QB.
trask looked scared in that first play when he tired to hit mike, was looking all the time in his direction
I'd put him in next week to test him, game outcome doesn't matter anymore

Bull. The whistle was blowing and Mike had started slowing down when Trask lightly tossed it up. It was more confusion, wondering what was going on. That's some seriously lame shit you just dropped there.

I mean, they have the excuse now so if they don't sit Mayfield that says something about Trask, right?
