You guys might want to consider if Badabing is laughing his as off at you responding to his Glennon taunt

Â
And for the love of Christmas please stop comparing Mayfield to Purdy. LOL. That only HIGHLIGHTS all that Purdy has around hm that Mayfield does not.
Â
You Trask guys (like the Winston guys before you) have such insane love for your college QB that reality (Bowles fighting for his job) is a mere inconvenience and you'll come up with anything to try to elevate the guy
Â
Thats probably why Badabing is so easily trolling you all
Â
There was a couple of charts that showed that Purdy had a low percentage of clean pockets while Mayfield has had above average clean pockets. Yet, without having the clean pockets that Mayfield has had, Purdy has a much higher ranking than Mayfield. Purdy sees the whole field and sees when his secondary receivers are open and gets the ball to them. Something that Mayfield does not.You guys might want to consider if Badabing is laughing his as off at you responding to his Glennon taunt

The only thing that you and Badabing are trolling is yourselves. There are a number of posters on this board who illogically hate Trask that you would rather see a loser like Mayfield continue to lose game for the Bucs, rather than see Trask given a chance.
Â
Purdy/Mayfield comparison is totally legit. They are both 6'1" with similar builds. Sure SF has better personnel but the QB has to make plays and make the throws. Purdy is LIGHT YEARS ahead of Mayfield. Purdy is not afraid to throw the ball to an NFL-open receiver. Purdy doesn't hesitate to throw the ball downfield. Purdy doesn't dance around on his toes as soon as he gets the snap; he is calm and cool back there.
Imagine SF with Mayfield at QB? Shanahan shudders at the thought. 😱Â

well if that is true I am not one of them, as I have posted repeatedly
Â
The thing that is "illogical" is expecting Trask to come in at this moment
Isnt 81 starts enough for Baker? On 4 different teams at that. Losing record with all of them of course.Â
Meanwhile Trask can’t get one on the team that drafted him. And no it doesn’t say anything about Trask. It says something about how stupid this team is.Â
Each sentence of this statement is a very good point.

Many Trask supporters aren't calling for him to play due to college loyalty. They have seen him play, in a very good SEC Conference (NFL Minor League), and he excelled. Heck, as a Gator, I did not want to see Anthony Richardson on the Bucs. Even though he was drafted in the first round, his play as a Gator QB was far less impressive than Trask's. I'm not saying he won't develop into an accurate passer, but out of college his QB play was not as impressive as Trask's IMO. This is why we want to see what Trask can do with the Bucs.

Exactly.
The legitimate points have been made ad nauseam.Â
I support Trask. I wish him the best of luck whether he gets a chance here with the Bucs or elsewhere. That's irrelevant. ÂMany Trask supporters aren't calling for him to play due to college loyalty.
Exactly.

What's best for the Bucs is what matters to the Bucs, not what's best for Trask. And it should be what matters to Bucs fans as well.  So as stated, it's been debated ad nauseum already whether Trask "deserves" a chance. He sure does. But this isn't little league where everybody gets to play. It's the NFL and nobody is owed playing time. Â
Anyway, the argument should be what's best for the Bucs, not what's best for Trask.  After this board pretty much trashed Trask for the last two years, now he's the most popular player on the team outside of the top players Evans, Wirfs, David and Winfield. That's because he's the backup QB on a losing team. You are pinning unrealistic hopes about what he can do because you need to believe somebody can come in and save this team. Trask can't do that. Â

Â
i mean hell i was calling for Trask at half time last week when Bucs had like 7 points. I will be doing the same this week.
Â
but logically, we roll with Baker as he gives us the best chance to win (in theory and as you suggest 19th ranked QB, middle of the pack QB which is as expected)
Â
it's like people expected us to be the 49ers and Baker is holding us back. People must forget what times were like without Brady.
Â
i will 100% be on board with Trask the remaining 4 games if and when we lose to Atlanta. The season will be lost and get the kid some playing time....
Â
but the reason they are playing the veteran Mayfield is because they owe it to our veterans like Evans to try and win. Even though our ceiling is a first round playoff exit, you still owe it to the players on team to try and win.Â
Â
the disconnect is that people actually think Trask gives us a better chance to win and that has been a recurring debate in all of 2023. I mean, a standing ovation for an incomplete pass? what is this "rudy"Â
Â
Â
Anyway, the argument should be what's best for the Bucs
That is the argument. I have no idea how that continues to be missed.
Trask was a second round pick. The last second round pick QB to amount to anything was Drew Brees more than 2 decades ago.
Jalen Hurts and his $250M contract seems to be doing pretty well for himself.
Â
That only HIGHLIGHTS all that Purdy has around hm that Mayfield does not.
lolz, completely clueless.

Â
Where the Gator loyalty comes in. -- in my view -- is in the insistence that Trask should start NOW when its obvious that is not going to happen NOW and that is NOT a reflection on Trask, its the circumstances. When Bucs fans are saying the playoffs don't matter, you know something is off, if we are all being honest
Â
As I keep saying the very best thing for the Bucs is for Trask to be a true franchise QB. I am all for it, but man talk about beating a dead horse.
Â
So, just for fun . . . . you are a Gator so anyone want to name an outspoken Start Trask Now poster who is NOT a Gator?
