Baker in the top 10 on betting odds for come back player of the year (and that includes the sympathy Hamlin shoe in joke winner) and some of you want him benched….LOL
I heard when we go into Atlanta next week the score is going to start 7-0 us because Baker is top 10 in voting for some meaningless, butchered award.
“
The Athletic's latest draft piece, written by Dane Brugler, the Buccaneers were projected to take LSU's Jayden Daniels with the No. 7 pick in the draft.
Daniels has been incredible for the Tigers this season, and he's putting up Heisman-worthy numbers, though his team's 9-3 record likely isn't enough to warrant him winning the award. He has 3,812 yards on 72 percent completion with 40 touchdowns. He's protected the ball well, only having thrown four interceptions, and has added 1,134 rushing yards and ten rushing touchdowns.”
Trevor at PFF says we take Shadeur
”
Round 1, Pick 7: EDGE Laiatu Latu, UCLA — The Buccaneers' edge defender unit ranks 20th in sacks, 28th in pressures and 28th in pass-rush win percentage this season. Latu would quickly help change those figures.
• Round 2, Pick 39: QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado — He doesn’t have top-tier arm talent, but it is good enough for him to be a starter in the NFL if he declares this year.”
get your mayfield jersey now bud. He’s our starter in 2024
And you’re actually rooting for that?
depends what the alternative is
top rookie QB? No
Trask? Yes
Need to see who is available
and don’t confuse my messages as rooting but rather what is more likely to happen
a new coach likely blows it up. But if Licht remains mayfield certainly has a higher % odd to remain as bridge QB
there's no reason for fans to come to the remaining games.
Such devotion
play Trask or just end the season!
Hate to break it to you, but anytime there's a change to a QB that was drafted relatively high, fans will be more willing to come out and see if he can make a difference. It's hope-ium, a powerful drug that Bucs' fans know very well. Without that, most fans are like...eh... Just look at the last home game. Lots of empty seats and fans from the other team. It's only going to get worse.

This is shear stupidity. You have zero clue what Trask can and can't do, but you act like you know for a fact that he would suck despite coming in cold and laying up a nice pass for a TD that Godwin admitted to failing to catch.
Awesome stuff there. And Mayfield is in the bottom 10 in some of the important categories, as opposed to those strictly dependent on completion percentage and INT's. He's throwing 1.5 TD's per game (sucks) and is now around 6 yards per attempt (really sucks), and is leading the team to a horrible 20% rate of getting first downs on 1st or 2nd down plays, leading to an excessive amount of 3rd downs. He sucks. He's a lesser version of Jeff Garcia.

mayfield is on crutches this week (exaggerated) and still Bowles and Canales doing a Native American rain dance that he is able to play not to play trask.
yeah foolish of me not to base optimism off one incomplete trask pass versus guys that watch him perform every day.
Stupidity. lol. Unless you are related to trask, because that would be called loyalty.
As I posted before I hope Trask is great because that is great for the Bucs, but I was surprised to see that Trevor Sikemma thinks he’s not an NFL QB. Trevor is a Gator and say he watched every game Trask played at UF

Todd was making excuses to keep Neal on the field. JTS had been starting all year, until Ya Ya could no longer be denied. D. White continues to start and is playing "fine". Watts is doing great in practice and limited action, but doesn't see the field hardly. The fact that you rely on Todd's ability to judge who should play and not is what makes you stupid. Seriously. It's ok for him to be wrong on a bunch of other guys (Fieler over Stinnie, Goedeke over Leverette last year, etc...), but he must be right on Trask, right? I trust Bowles judgement on personnel about as far as I can throw my F-150, but I ain't dumb.

What do you think he thought Sikemma would have thought about Brady when he came out of Michigan? The NFL is littered with failed QB's that were the next best thing. What did he say about Purdy coming out of college? But I think you get my point. I have no idea why Trevor thinks the way he does, but I saw the exact opposite. I saw a kid that read defenses pre and post snap quickly and regularly made the right decision on who to throw to. He did have a few minor issues with his mechanics, as he hasn't played a lot and likely didn't get a lot of good teaching with regards to his form, but they worked heavily on that in the off season and his deep ball looks faster and notably stronger.
Like I've said, I don't know for a fact that he will be a good to great QB, I just believe he MAY. Proof is in the pudding, but we keep getting served liver and onions.

Ahhh...yes.
The great talent evaluator, Todd Bowles. The same guy who claims Devin is the 2nd best player on defense. The same guy who thinks Neal is a starting-caliber safety.
It's going to be the most interesting draft season perhaps ever because of these Tier 2 QBs after Williams and Maye. There's the online draft prognosticators making predictions, but I get the feeling that they know less this year than ever about what teams really want. Even though the scouting combine and Senior Bowl does count for something, I wonder if teams are well along in their evaluations of these quarterbacks. Because how they are in the heat of the battle is more important than how they perform in drills. But these draft "experts" obviously have no clue, because one might put a guy going in the top ten, another has the guy going in the middle of Round 2. And Sanders is one of those guys along with Nix, Penix, McCarthy, Daniels.Trevor at PFF says we take Shadeur

What does Licht do all day? I'm guessing he is watching a lot of film on these QBs right now and he probably already has a good idea what he thinks about these QBs, but who doesn't have a clue is these supposed experts on line, because they have no consensus at all right now. The only reason they'll get any kind of consensus is because they'll be reading each other and start to agree, but it won't have any basis in the reality of what the NFL teams are thinking.

His 2018 draft rankings are a literal dumpster fire.

and Canales, Litch and Glazers most likely
Arians was still involved in year 2 of trask with leftwich as “consultant”
Was he better than Gabbert? Or was this evil Brady decision?
so let me guess Brady determine the #2 QB but doesn’t fire Arians? See the irony.
