On the night before the draft, PHI sent pick #20, QB Nick Foles and a 4th rounder to STL to move up to pick #10. STL took the offer, with HC Jeff Fisher saying later that 'Nick presents the best option for [the rams] at QB this season'. They feel like Foles can be the difference maker at the position, and they knew Amari Cooper wouldn't make it anywhere near #10. They ended up getting WR Kevin White, a great weapon for their new signal caller Nick Foles. As the Bucs were on the clock to kickoff the draft, the trade alert fired and we saw that PHI was on the clock. Of course they took QB Marcus Mariota. To get to #1, PHI still had to surrender a treasure chest to the Buccaneers. They gave Tampa Bay their Pro Bowl RB Lesean McCoy, Pro Bowl G Evan Mathis, and their 2nd round pick.. plus their 1st round picks in 2016 and 2017. The Eagles also drafted RB Ameer Abdullah in the 3rd round to pair with their Free Agent signing of former Bucs RB Bobby Rainey. Many fans were shocked to see Mathis traded, but the writing was on the walls ever since PHI signed G Mike Iuapti to a 5 year 40m contract in March. But the musical chairs game wasn't over for Tampa Bay. They were locked in on their man, and that was OT Ereck Flowers out of Miami. Problem was, the Bucs had a strong feeling the Giants were poised to take him at #9. So GM Jason Licht jumped on the phone and made a deal with CHI. The Bucs traded pick #10 and SS Dashon Goldson to CHI for pick #7. Chicago would draft DE Dante Fowler Jr with pick #10, killing two birds with one stone in round one.The Bucs would go on to draft ILB Erick Kendricks and DE Hauoli Kikaha in the 2nd round who, along with Pro Bowl Free Agent S Devon McCourtey will help form what looks to be an elite defense for the Buccaneers in 2015.Offensively, the Bucs feel really good about Mike Glennon. The 6'7 QB has been very solid in limited playing time over the last two seasons, proving he has a chance to be a special QB in the league. OC Dirk Koetter spoke after the draft about how excited he was to get going with his brand new QB, Mike Glennon: 'You know, having the chance to see the kid play on four different occasions over the last two seasons, I've always been impressed with what he has done. He hasn't always been surrounded with a lot of talent, but he finds ways to get things going. I think you see it on tape. The way he was able to adjust in second halves.. he's a very smart guy and he has the respect of this locker room and the coaches. He has done everything you want a QB coming into the league to do. I think very soon the fans will begin to embrace him more and we're just excited to get out on the field.'That said, the big need for Tampa Bay was O Line. By taking LT Ereck Flowers in Round 1, the Bucs are able to keep OT Demar Dotson at RT where he has played admirably over the last two years. In acquiring Evan Mathis the Bucs ensured better play from the interior, as Mathis and Mankins will provide stability at G. Newcomers G/C Max Garcia and OT Rob Havenstein provide excellent depth for an offensive line that could very well go from worst to first this season. For another year in a row, the Bucs are the off-season darlings of the NFL. With the additions of three Pro Bowl players: S Devon McCourtey, RB LeSean McCoy, and G Evan Mathis and a solid group of rookies, can 2015 be the year that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers return to the NFL Playoffs?Full Draft Class:1- OT Ereck Flowers - MIA2- ILB Eric Kendricks - UCLA2- DE Ha'ouli Ki'kaha - WAS3- OT Rob Havenstein - WIS4- WR Tyler Lockette - KSU5- G/C Max Garcia - FLORIDA5- CB Damian Swann - UGA6- CB Justin Coleman - TENNESSEE7- WR Rannell Hall - UCFProjected Depth ChartQB: Mike Glennon, Austin Davis (FA)RB: LeSean McCoy, Doug Martin, Charles Sims, Mike JamesFB: Henry Hynoski (FA)TE: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Brandon Myers, Cameron BrateWR: Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson, Tyler Lockette (R), Louis Murphy, Rannell Hall (R)OT: Ereck Flowers (R), Demar Dotson, Rob Havenstein (R), Kevin PamphileG: Evan Mathis, Logan Mankins, Max Garcia (R), Patrick Omameh, Kadeem EdwardsC: Evan Dietrich-Smith, Max Garcia (R)DE: Michael Johnson, Ha'uoli Ki'kaha (R), Jacques Smith, Will Gholston, Daquan BowersDT: Gerald McCoy, Clinton McDonald, Akeem Spence, Daquan BowersLB: Lavonte David, Erick Kendricks (R), Danny Lansanah, Orie Lemon, Brandon MageeS: Devon McCourtey (FA), Bradley McDougald, Major Wright, Keith TandyCB: Alteraun Vernor, Johnthan Banks, Damian Swann (R), Justin Coleman (R), Isaah FreyPR/KR: Tyler Lockette (R)P: Kyle Christy (R)K: Patrick Murray
