Ewww that mock sucks. I was unsure of Watkins like some of you are. I watched some of his stuff and if he runs a 4.48 I will be stunned. Watkins looks much faster than that. He isn't Megatron, but that guy in any kind of space is a freak. Watkins is the only non lineman I would be OK with at 7.
The Bucs could go in several different directions. DE/OLB, OT or WR. The Rams are going to be looking for a mother load of picks for the #2 spot. I can't imagine that Jeff Fisher isn't chomping at the bit to pair Quinn and Clowney together on that defense in St. Louis if they select at #2. With that said and all the QB's likely to go in the top 5. A Player like Jake Mathews could drop to the #7 spot. Under the Bleacher reports Mock i think the Bucs would be insane to pass up on Anthiony Barr at #7.
Quinn and Clowney would mean no more room for Chris Long... send em our way
Wait for players to run in a straight line with spandex. That's what football is all about. A football player isn't good until we've seen their combine performance.
I see a lot of mocks showing Sammy Watkins our pick at #7. I really haven't seen him play much but he is listed at 6'0 and runs a 4.48 40yd. Those aren't Calvin Johnson/Julio Jones numbers. With his size and speed, he seems more like a late 1st round pick. Again, I haven't seen him play much but his measurable don't scream match up problem. We do need more speed at receiver and slot guy along with a big TE target. You can't address it all in the draft. But Watkins at #7 seems like a reach to me.
Watkins has never run an official 40 so we don't know just what his speed would be. Whoever is listing that is just guessing or going off second hand. But even if it was 4.48, that's the exact time AJ Green ran at the Combine. If you watch Watkins play, he's extremely fast.
That is exactly what this offense needs.
Is he a route runner or another bigger, better version of MW19 - a body control "catcher"? We need someone who can be a bit more precise in what he's doing.
He's basically the same size as Williams but a little shorter and much more explosive.
Too be honest Watkins reminds me if a Julio Jones/Demaryius Thomas
I wouldn't go that far... more like a Torrey Smith to me

I could see that.

That is correct. Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams and Tim Wright instantly become better players with Sammy Watkins on the field in 3 wide sets. Defenses would have to pick their poison then.
and I would love to have Torrey Smith, so I'm down with Watkins. I watched some film on Marquise Lee, saw him catching with his body for the most part.
I'm rather pick up Barr (if available), a QB if there is one the coaches love, or OT in the first. I think a receiver like Robinson from Penn State will be a good pick up in the 2nd. He has size, speed, does well in the slot and on screens, but can also move outside when VJax gets older.

I'm not sure I'd go WR that high either but at the top of r2 I think is a spot because I don't trust the WR's we have all that much ina non-chuck and pray sort of offense. I'd love to see Jordan Matthews at the top of R2 for us. Really like his game.
DONT DRAFT A CLEMSON DE EVER AGAIN.0-2Rickey Sapp didnt go to Tampa, but he was just as bad if not worse than Gaines and Bowers. STAY AWAY
Fisher might take Watkins at #2 after he destroys the combine.
