VH3 is basically in a contract year and injury prone.
J. Evans has missed playing time due to injury and lacks experience.
Whitehead showed a lot of promise as a rookie but was thrust into action due to injuries.
MJ Stewart is an unknown quantity at strong safety.
R. Smith is in a contract year as well.
So, I can see why the Bucs drafted three DB's given what I have laid out. However, the Bucs could have added a veteran CB in the mix to act as a bridge for this year and the next IMO.
But I still don't think going three DB's makes sense if they had concerns with the secondary. Just bring in more vet DB's IMO.
