It's not happening but I wonder if there's a better deal out there on a more reasonable contract...?
Trey Hendrickson anyone?
I would certainly do a first and a fourth.
Anymore than that and we'd regress... Crosby isn't cheap either so gotta think about cap space and resigning our talent too
What's his coverage grade though?
Lol probably slightly better than Vea
Yep. He is.
Vea on the season is a 57.7
Maxx is a 68.3
Looks like we might need to pull the trigger.

Not sure how the cap would work, but I’d give them a 3rd for him.
Could be wrong, but thought he was a FA next season (with a $6-$7M dead cap hit next year).
I know there are multiple teams inquiring about him (particularly in the NFC, as it would be easier on the trade aspect).
But you still have to give him a new contract once he gets here.Trey Hendrickson anyone?

Yep, and Crosby is already earning more than Baker. I get trying to add a young stud, but I think that trade would make it tough for re-signing of some upcoming key personnel. It might be worth it for a young defensive stud, but which of your other children do you love the least?
I doubt it happens, as we could have gone after Parsons, previously, but didn’t.

I'm aware of that.
And?

Which "key personnel" would we be looking at potentially losing if we made this trade?
Two 1s, no not doing that. A 2nd and a 4th feels like a robbery, we should do that in a heart beat.
Id do two 2nds, thats proabably where Id top out. Maybe a 1st and a 4th..... Yea thats my top out point, a 1st and a 4th.
Crosby is the highest paid non-QB in the league. Finding the cap space for him would be tough even with this year being prorated. Licht needs those draft picks to keep the cap down by having starters on their rookie contracts. It just doesn't make sense capwise for the future when Baker is going to command a huge deal. It would be a real "win this year or bust" type of move, which isn't Licht's style.
Parsons is the highest paid non-QB in the league. And I think Myles garrett is 2nd. Crosby's AAV is $35M.

And not for nothing, but Crosby is probably the smartest DE/EDGE in the game right now. he just doesn't make mistakes, and makes big plays in big moments on the regular.
But we have Reddick, and I doubt Licht will spring for another pass-rusher after just paying Reddick.
Not necessarily losing, but it will make contracts/extensions more difficult.I get trying to add a young stud, but I think that trade would make it tough for re-signing of some upcoming key personnel
