Makes much more sense. His contract is $6.5 mil expiring contract which would be prorated so about $4 mil depending on when the trade happened. The price wouldn't be high because he's a rent-a-player. But if everything works out perhaps he resigns because having played for the Jets he may appreciate playing for a non-dumpster fire team.I am liking the thought of Jets LB, Quincy Williams…
Absolutely not. We are one good draft away from being an outstanding team. Maybe two. I wouldn't mortgage our future draft capitol for anyone unless it was a slam dunk stealIf you want to see the rationale, here it is:

The original outside analysis was a 2nd and a 4th. PR said yes for sure but that is not what it would take:
"Just last month, the Green Bay Packers gave up two first rounders and Kenny Clark for another premier pass rusher in Micah Parsons. Green Bay then signed Parsons to a deal that would keep him in town through 2029, the same time horizon Crosby is under contract for. Now Parsons is two years younger and widely considered a tick better than Crosby. Hence why Crosby would net a slightly lesser package. But only slightly.
In speaking with a league source, they agreed a Crosby trade would likely require two firsts."
If you're Licht do you do it for two 1st round picks?
with the loss of Fred Warner, 9-ers suddenly have a lot of interest (and rumors abound) in Quincy Williams, too.Makes much more sense. Licht may very well do what he did before the 2024 trade deadline…but he previously created some cap space for some reason.
On the value side, Shaq is available . . . but alos unable to beat out a PS player, apparently.
"Barrett participated in a tryout with several other defensive players, including defensive end Seth Coleman. The Colts signed Coleman, an undrafted free agent in 2025 who spent the offseason and training camp with Seattle, to the practice squad."
"NFL Media reports that the Raiders met on Tuesday with Crosby to tell him they aren’t shopping him, and they won’t trade him.
Other teams, per NFL Media, are interested. The Raiders aren’t interested in moving their best player, and Crosby wants to stay with the Raiders."
