hi, I did, one of our early games in sombrero, might have been 4th or 5th season, can't remember exactly which one.I guess they whistle it dead when its obvious, also almost never.apart from that we all know how refs whistle in seattle, but do not forget, they've been burned by the refs too, like indy game this year ....but, who cares! ;D only thing tha matters is that the person who harmed bucs like noone else before is finaly fired and our future is bright :D

Had he caught the pass, he could advance but it would have penalized from the spot of the pass. If it is not obvious if the pass is forward, then they can let the play transpire and then go back to instant replay, but since it was obvious then the play was killed. Who really cares! The Saints lost, they are a division rival. I'm happy they took it on the chin!

Hardly.The Ball turned/spun 90 degrees in his hands when his knee hit the ground (and his foot hit out of bounds). Unless they are changing interpretation of rules again, he has to maintain control even after hitting the ground.

What bothered me more than anything was Thomas going through receivers while playing the ball. I like the way he plays, especially how he legally separated the ball from the receivers with contact, but you can't go through the received on the way to the ball. The league needs to watch that. If not DB's will through a shoulder into a received while "making a play" on the ball.Just my thoughts

You've never seen a forward pass whistled dead? That explains a lot. The only place where a "forward lateral" exists is in sandlot ball. A pass is either forward, backward or lateral.

A pass is either forward, backward or lateral. <---um, no, wrong. A QB can be 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage and "forward lateral"(underhanded) a ball to a running back who is 1 yard behind the line of scrimmage. If the ball gets dropped/muffed, it's a live ball-- not an incomplete pass. That explains a lot.
