I was wondering this even before he had a poor combine, but what does Roger Goodell and the NFL do if Michael Sam goes undrafted in this year's draft. It would be a PR nightmare for the NFL, and the media would eat this story up, but its not like he can punish all 32 owners for not drafting the kid. I mean I'm sure he was already off teams board due to the media circus thats gonna come with him, and with his combine that might have knocked him off a few more, it could be a possibility. Also, when do we find out the team thats gonna be featured on Hard Knocks. If its after the draft I could see the team that Sams ends up on be the team featured on it, just for ratings and PR move by the NFl.
Teams have every right not to draft him. He's testing poorly.
I dont think Hard Knocks gets announced for awhile. Kind of torn on Sam. I think making the announcement when he did affected his ability to train and prepare for this. Someone will take a chance on him either with a late pick or a camp invite.
It means nothing. Remember the Vontaze Burfict? His combine was beyond terrible not to mention all of his red flags. Now he is a baller in Cincy. If Sam goes undrafted, he'll be picked up immediately by a team. Then the media will kill us with the non-stop openly gay player on "insert" team.

This was mentioned by Polian on SC. Said he looked like he was experiencing the "Teo Effect" and would, like Teo, be more relaxed and test better during his pro day.
He had 6 sacks in the Vandy/UF games combined. He had 1.5 the rest of SEC play. He's like the football version of JR Smith. I'll pass.

I dont think anyone was saying we should bring him here...just stating someone will take a chance.
If he was still on board in the 6th would you want the Bucs to take him?

Depends on what happens in FA and rounds 1-5. But just on face value I wouldnt mind using a 6th on him.
He's Fabulousssssss !!http://media.zenfs.com/en/blogs/sptusnflexperts/474632819-001.jp g" alt="474632819-001.jpg" class="bbcode_img" />
Round 6 or later is fine by me.
Damn I just realized.... That's kinda awkward.
Its not gonna matter to the NFL or ESPN where or when he goes. The media circus will still follow. Hell still be the 1st open gay NFL player.Honestly, Im pretty sure only the media gives a shit at this point...

I just don't see it.He had a couple really good games last year but was a nonfactor in most. He's a lockerroom distraction (because the media, like Favre or Tebow), and he has terrible combine numbers. I'd give him a camp workout but would rather take a freak athlete that you might be able to turn into something.
