Bucs fans and PewterReport.com readers. I cannot tell you how much the kind words, comments and prayers from you all have positively impacted my friend Ross Johnson and his family as X fights to heal. The retweets of the story I did on their son by kind, wonderful strangers like you to help spread the prayer request for a boy most of you don't know had them filled with tears of joy. With the Johnson family being huge Cornhuskers fans, the fact that Bucs LB Lavonte David reached out to them via Twitter last night with encouraging words and prayers meant to so much to them! I know X will be honored to hear that when he regains consciousness. Hundreds of Sunlake High School students, teachers and faculty members led a morning prayer outside of campus yesterday in honor of X. The Sunlake HS team was distraught over hearing the news, but vowed to play of X in their spring game in Hernando County this Friday. They will start the game on defense with 10 men on the field, honoring their fallen starting linebacker. The phrase Seahawk Up is being used as a rallying cry around Xavier by his football teammates, which is simply great. Our flag football team, which his younger brother Zephy, plays on (along with my boys) will have their playoff games on Thursday night and will be sporting X wristbands to show their support. While nice and having a heart of gold, Xavier is also one tough S.O.B. and he's fighting the swelling and bleeding of his brain with all he's got. Thanks again for your thoughts, well wishes and prayers. This has been incredibly hard on me and my family to endure because we are close with the Johnsons. We were all just sharing some laughs and milkshakes at Sonic after our boys' flag football victory on Friday night, a day before the accident. Here's the latest update, which has us all cautiously optimistic, but knowing there will be ups and downs during his recovery. #prayforX"Update on Xavier - noon - Tuesday, May 19:Xavier had a good night. Knowing 7 is average ICP (intracranial pressure) for the typical person on a daily basis and 25 is the top number in Xavier's condition we would consider him to have been near the higher numbers later last night (when we left at 10:30pm his ICP number was between 22-24). During the night his range was 17-18. When Lisa last left his room he was 9-10!! Today they are asking for prayers to help him with the build up of fluid in his lungs. This fluid is not from lake water but rather it's normal for a patient to end up with fluid in their lungs when they can't do simple things like cough up anything on their own. In an effort to make sure this doesn't cause him to develop Pneumonia they have him on medicine that will help to break it up. Prayers today are needed to help with this part of the process. Please feel free to share this most recent update with others."
