Bucs a Team to Watch with Adrian PetersonJustin Pawlowski      @CommishOnlineApr 17, 2015 17158833556_160Fc80B26_O.jpgAccording to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Bucs are among four teams to watch that could trade for Adrian Peterson.16977345547_F171F5A4B8_O.pngNow that Adrian Peterson has been reinstated into the NFL and will not have any further punishment placed on him, teams will become more willing to trade for him. Those trade talks should really heat up over the next 2 weeks. On Path to the Draft last night on NFL Network, Ian Rapoport mentioned four teams to keep an eye on when it comes to a trade for Adrian Peterson. The Buccaneers have their ties to Adrian Peterson from Lovie Smith, who had to face him twice a year while with the Bears, or Leslie Frazier, who got to coach Peterson while with the Vikings. The Bucs and Jaguars have the most cap room to be able to accommodate Peterson's hefty contract, but the Cardinals seem to be the top team mentioned with Peterson. The Cowboys get mentioned a lot with Peterson, but their draft picks and cap room are limited. The price tag for Peterson continues to be mentioned as a 2nd round pick. The Bucs hold the 2nd pick in the 2nd round. I'll continue to say that price tag is way to high for a running back who just turned 30UpdateReport: Vikings want first-round pick, starting CB for Adrian PetersonApril 18, 2015by Steve DelVecchioAdrian-Peterson_Zpsmqrzbr8Z.jpgAdrian PetersonNow that Adrian Peterson has been reinstated by the NFL, it will be interesting to see if he is successful in his quest to force his way out of Minnesota. Given the terms of his current contract and the value the Vikings want in return, Peterson may be stuck.ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that the Vikings would be seeking “at least” a first-round pick and “more compensation” if they were to deal Peterson. In addition to the first-rounder, Caplan says Minnesota would want a starting cornerback. The Vikings consider cornerback to be their greatest position of need, and they believe they could draft a starting corner in the second round. In other words, they are looking for either a first-round pick plus a viable starting corner or a first-round pick and a second-round pick.Unless Peterson is willing to restructure his contract with a new team, we highly doubt that is going to happen. Peterson is set to count a whopping $12.75 million against the salary cap next season and still has nearly $50 million remaining on his contract through 2017. Would a team really be willing to give up a first-round pick and a second-round pick to take on a 30-year-old running back that is the highest-paid player at his position? We know at least one NFL team that Peterson would likely be willing to take less money with. And Peterson’s agent made it very clear with some recent remarks that AP wants a fresh start. At this point, the price just makes it seem unrealistic.link
