The official site updated recently all the position changes for the Bucs players with some interesting twists:
*All the pass rushers are now listed as OLBs. That includes Demone Harris and Patrick O'Connor.
*The others are listed as DL like Gholston, Vea, etc.
*Deon Bucannon is listed as the only S/LB on the roster. Interesting.
*MJ Stewart is the only one listed as DB on the roster and has been playing both nickel and safety in practice.
*Cappa is listed exclusively as a guard. Cappa will be directly competing with Watford, Bailey(R), and Holcomb for RG
*Four players listed as tackles (D. Smith, D. Dotson, Mayfield(R), Rubble(R).
*All other offensive line players that are not exclusively centers are listed as OL (Benenoch, Boozer, E.Smith, Liedtke).
*Cichy and Bond are listed as ILB's.
My initial thoughts are the Bucs will have some tough decisions to make at OLB given they have 10 OLBs on the roster. Without JPP that still leaves 9 OLB's competing for maybe 4-5 spots max.
I am interested in seeing who wins that final fourth spot at ILB between Cichy and Bond. Unless Minter fails to make Bowles cut again it will come down to those two for the fourth and possibly final roster spot at ILB.
With 9 players listed as DL the Bucs may end up keeping 6-7 DL max. Without McCoy that clears the way for possibly Beckner sneaking onto the roster or a surprise cut.
With 11 WR's competing for six roster spots max ,like the OLB battle, the WR battle will be intense.
Safety position battle will be intense with 8 players listed as S which excludes Bucannon and MJ Stewart. Probably 5 safties max make the final roster but that is speculation on my part.
