Yep. He seems like an outstanding coach.
We'll see. His benefit is he had a quality coach to learn from in Marvin Lewis on how to build and rebuild a team long term. Zimmer seems like a guy players like playing for and he is very hands on. I gained even more respect for him watching Hard Knocks. But as history has shown us good coordinators don't always translate into good head coaches.

Good for him but he's walking into what looks like a no win situation there. Poor Bengals lost both their coordinators.
I actually think he timed it well. I personally feel like too many coaches jump for head coaching opportunities and are clearly not ready. See Josh McDaniels, Eric Mangini, Chud (even though he flat out got a raw deal) but the list goes on

+1I saw a comment that he had "no politician in him" so that might be a sign he doesnt interview well. Hope he has a lot of success
Great hire in my book. Had we not gotten Lovie, he was one of the very few I did want.
They got a great coach...now Bengals look ruff
I think he is a good coach and deserving of a shot. However, I am glad that the Bucs chose to go with a guy that is an experienced NFL coach. Lovie was what this team needed.
