He also debunked the white helmet floating around. Didn't say it wasn't white, but he said it doesn't look anything like that.
Sameone also said something about a black base color and he replied with maybe.. I don't think they're going to be white. People are just saying white because that lets us wear the throw backs, but they have been working on the change since before the new helmet rules so that isn't the reason for anything. It's also being discussed getting rid of that rule because it affected so many teams, including Dallas and New England. Jerry isn't going to want to changed his helmets or have to now wear his throw backs.It's also worth noting, that depending on how much the uniforms change, our current uniforms would become throwbacks. Honoring the SB team is much better than honoring the years of suck that came with the Cremesicles.
Ok...final guess. Still pewter. New logo is an updated flag, oversized and wrapping around the helmet. Chrome face mask.

A carbon-fiber paint job in the pewter, oversized flag, and chrome grill, maybe... I'm not sure I'm sold on the chrome grill, but we'll see how the players like it in the Florida Sun.

I don't see the helmet color changing. I still think it's going to be pewter. I could see some kind of pattern in the pewter. I could see a matte finish with chrome facemask or a chrome pewter color. I could also see a black chrome facemask. Just cause it's chrome doesn't mean it's silver chrome. Chrome can be black or colored. I also think there will be some subtle tweaks to the flag logo and it will be a little bigger...but not crazy big.
To summarize my mock-ups:• Either a white or muted silver (pewter) helmet. The brown-ish pewter color is a thing of the past• Grill is either red chrome or orange chrome• Stripe is red flanked with orange stripes on either side• The logo will probably be simplified (the skull) and some color texturing added to the flag

If you look at the Rutgers helmets, they replicated the pewter/silver color perfectly.Given that Schiano had a hand in this makeover, I think it's almost a guarantee that they will go with that more silver version of the pewter. It will also be much easier to replicate than the current brown-ish pewter (that really doesn't look like pewter anyway). Hopefully they don't add that Gawd awful scratched look!
Given the hints from Sapp, I wouldn't be surprised to see fire added to the inside of the flag as well.
