I know this is just me being wierd, but I think simply changing the shadow and nothing else makes the whole think look better.

You'tr getting there man. I think the shadowing is just a minor thing. both versions have the same effect to me. :)
I didn't like it at first but now I'm starting to love it. The only thing I strongly dislike thus far is the "Bucs" in the front. The font looks very childish. Strangely enough the same font for the full Buccaneers doesn't look as bad. Overall I think it's a nice look to begin a new era of defensive domination with. Can't wait to see the uniforms.

Agreed. It's hard to be unique in a league with 32 teams, but they've done it.

Makes it look better, gives it character, and breaks up the symmetry..
....it doesn't change the tone of the skull. looks just as mean.
