Watched a video a while ago about Devin White’s first year at LSU where he told the press he was invited to work out with the upperclassmen by Fournette. Apparently Fournette liked his work ethic and they quickly became close friends, Fournette being a big brother figure for him. Fast forward to today and every time I see Fournette with the ball White is shooting like a missile to crack him. Even when Fournette was being tackled to the ground White made sure to hit the pile hard every time. Both were jawing at each other but White definitely made his presence known today. I think I can safely say that we got a dog here in Devin White. Not only has he been improving steadily, but the tenacity I saw between him and a long time mentor of his shows me he won’t back down from no one. Give him a full offseason with David and I can only hope he comes back a better beast and as the heart of hopefully an elite defense with Dean, Vea, Davis, and Barrett for years to come! Get yours #45! Here’s to a new identity for this franchise, and a prayer for a defense to rival the Bucs legends of ‘02
