The defender was Feeney’s to block. He whiffed. I think Barton expected White to go behind him down the sideline, while White obviously expected Feeney to do his job. White probably should have went behind Barton down the sideline, but Feeney definitely should have made the damn block.

Bowles needs to go. We knew this a while ago. But since we won the crappy division we have been stuck with captain clueless 2.0. lovie would have won this division all those years with this roster too.

if Bucs didn’t stupidly extend him prematurely in summer, would think a Bucs playoff miss which came at the result of coaching malpractice with baker injury, yeah Bowles 100% gone this January

I dont think it does. He may be on his way out. That was a signature loss and part of it was effort from guys like McCollum. That is one weak spot for a "players coach." Owners might think, especially with Mayfield out (if he is), that this is the time for an overhaul especially because the contrast to the Rams was so stark, offense to defense.

The thing that might complicate it more is Evans. He's not coming back if there is a big regime change so if he was actually planning to comeback they m ight keep Bowles on to not disrupt that.

Evans market value, at his age and coming off of injury, is likely not there so his options are either retire or return to the Bucs. I think as long as he has Baker throwing him the ball, if he wants to play, he will return.

yeah but just something doesn't sit right with me with them extending him so prematurely. There was no need to do that other than to send a message that Bowles is here to stay.
He has 2026 under contract before the extension so they could have used this season to reflect on what happened and either extend or fire in January.
We all want Bowles head after last night but unfortunately, i think he stays even if the Bucs go 6-11. Injuries will be the excuse but damn, feel like the Baker injury was about 98% coaching fault.
