Bucs are an average drafting team. Sign average free agents and the fans blame the coach for being average?
Stop. Just stop. We have above average talent.
Coen carried us last year with great coaching on offense that helped mask the defense.
Licht hasn't invested in the defense and when he has he has whiffed. There's no excuse for that...
But the talent of the defense is in the 18-25 range but it's PLAYING like a top 3 worst unit since the bye week.
There are specific plays you can point to that are 100% on Bowles.
Let's use the Panthers game... The all out blitz at the end of the half where Tet scored a TD. That isn't talent that is 110% the play calling. That play alone cost is 4 points (maybe 7) and the game. Period. Full stop.
Bucs were an offensive line driven team last year and the logical thinking was they would be even better in 2025 because they were young and now they going into year 2 playing together. The offensive line went from being a great strength to being a weakness. So if the OL is not good, and by your admission the front 7 sucks, and the TEs suck, and the QB is average how is this roster above average right now? We have good WRs and DBs but none of them are elite players.
@jc5100 I agree with a lot of your idea about this team, but so much of these issues point to both Licht AND Bowles. I’m 100% sure that Bowles had a big say in selecting guys like JTS; Logan Hall; not upgrading the edge position for 4 years; drafting offense in the first round the last 2 years; keeping the special teams coordinator on staff all season; etc. He is our head coach. There are teams with worst injuries than us this year, with better performance. There is no excuse for Bowles.

Cant tell if JC is saying "its Licht not Bowles" (his typical troll) or "Licht and Bowles," but either way yes Bowles at this point owns many of the picks. Bowles actually tells the story about getting Hall as the last of "several players they liked" after BOWLES AGREED to trade back.

"Bowles wanted Hall" is demonstrably FALSE. FULL STOP. END OF STORY.
Loons: they gonna loon.

Problem with your argument is Licht's drafts look similar no matter who the HC is. The further we get from the Brady years the more we're regressing to the 2014-2019 mean.

How is it a troll? First it was Lovie's fault. Then it was Koetter's fault. Arians came in and was going to fix things and went 7-9. Now it's Bowles' fault. Problem is people view the Brady years as Licht's norm but 2014-2019 is his norm. What we witnessed was Brady's norm.
Bowles is the symptom, Licht is the cause. He has had back to back bad off-seasons since we had that nice run in 2023.

Its a troll because in another thread you deny saying "its Licht not Bowles" and here you defend it. LMAO
And its a troll because its you and you are pretty one dimensional.
Your troll is always a version of you possessing unique insight (lmao) that everyone else is missing. "Tucker is next Emmitt Smith" or Coen "was actually incompetent for not running 300 times." When those inevitably blow up in your face, you just move to the next one . .currently, "its Licht not Bowles."
YYY . . fucking . .. AAWWWN that sheet is boring.
@jc5100 - then get rid of them both. But Bowles is not the answer at head coach. Many have said Licht is a problem and Baker has become a problem. If you can’t say that Bowles is a problem too, then I can’t take you seriously.
Arians came in and was going to fix things and went 7-9.
Bruce went 31-18 with a SB win.
Again, what is your record as a GM?
Lets compare your resume to Licht’s.

I think they'll run it back with all 3 and 2026 will be a make of break year. I want Crosby more than anybody but we can't give up the 2027 #1 in case we need a QB.

Speaking of Tucker, can we just give him the ball 15-20 times? It works pretty well.

Does it?
What’s his YPC, Rush/EPA, and his Total EPA this season?
