I give Grizz so much credit. He called a fabulous game. So many bad OCs would have kept trying to establish a running game, which would have led us to a bad loss. He didn’t. He threw early and he threw often. After seeing this game from Grizz, I’m a believer.

Good point about not forcing the run. You don’t need to run the ball well to throw the ball well, and vice versa.
There was much more creativity in the game plan today. For a young guy that has never called plays, I expected something of a learning curve for him. Today was definitely a step in the right direction for the new OC.

Proud of you.
progress is objectively good 😉
what a game to go to, live!Phone died but I'm back..what a game to go to. Defense and special teams continue to be ass but man... Shocked we got that stop. Was not happy we didn't burn more clock before the score.
Baker is a dawg
Sean Tucker is useless.
Dennis is a statue.
Egbuka is a super star.
Helluva game to watch live. GO BUCS
Sit anywhere near the Egbuka’s?

I was endzone side when he caught that dime for a TD and that bomb.
Pretty killer seats. That stadium was loud as fuck and Baker just fed off it like a fucking dog
it is really great we won, but seahawks were awful. we gave the game away and they gave it back! we've got no chance vs. teams that with decent offense+defense. baker can't put 35 onto the board every sunday
our games are fun, especially while we are wining most of them, but it really really sucks watching tod bowles crap over and over again. we could have easily been 0-5 or 1-4.
I really do not know what to expect from the rest of the season!!!
but seahawks were awful.
The Bucs are definitely an imperfect team, BUT the Seahawks were playing at home with a defense that was averaging only 20 ppg and multiple takeaways. We easily won the turnover battle (even with turnover negated by a bogus penalty) and put up 38 on them . . with half an O-line, a back up RB and basically one rookie receiver.
Its winning games like that AND IN THAT WAY that would have me put the Bucs up against almost anyone.
oh, sick seats for that 56 yard Baker to Egbuka BOMB! Glad you got to see it, love that Bake feeds off that stuff!what a game to go to, live!Phone died but I'm back..what a game to go to. Glad you enjoyed the game. Yes Baker has that mentality which Arians talks about all the time about being competitive.
I could make a pretty strong argument this was Mayfield's best game as a Buccaneer. Statistically, last year's Carolina game (the 2nd one) was his best. But when you factor in the competition, I don't think he's had a better performance as a Buccaneer than what he did on Sunday. He made really good decisions and only had one or two bad balls all day.
Mayfield played incredibly well under the circumstances. There are definitely teams who do NOT want to face the Bucs and big wins like this one -- with a heavily injured team - are a big reason why:
"Sunday’s win over the 3-1 Seahawks in Seattle was a massive one for the Bucs. Not only did it get their October off to a good start after Octobers of past years have been less than kind to them, but it proved that they could go into a hostile environment and beat another one of the top teams in the NFC, one that had won three straight games and has serious designs on challenging for the NFC West title.:
If the Bucs can steal 1-2 more wins before the bye that would be amazing.

Weird mentality to have when you're 4-1 despite all the injuries and still get to play 5 divisional games of which 3 are at home.

And there was the Godwin drop on third and that throw to Shepard where he kept fading away from the ball (also on third) that should have been caught.
Helluva day
That is an awesome data reveal, especially in the context of considered competition. They didn’t have Riq Woolen…but he’s a bit streaky right now. I think they were as strong as could be expected.I could make a pretty strong argument this was Mayfield's best game as a Buccaneer. Also tracks with the eye test, Baker was DEALING. Even though Egbuka got the go balls, Otten was surprisingly productive (thought he’d still be in max-pro a lot), CG was productive (for his 2nd game back) and even my hedge pick Tez Johnson got into the act. Short game, intermediate throws and even the long targets - he was dropping dimes!
Very impressive. Can’t wait to see what Grizz and Bake cook up when we get our horses back!
Good stuff!
