Bucs throw up another dud with injuries.
Throw up LOL you can say that again. The Bucs manage to have 1, 2, 3 of these clunker games every season. As many have mentioned, the Lions defensive front just butt whipped the Bucs OL which freed up their banged up secondary to play aggressive. Great example of superior coaching.
injuries are piling up, just realized reddick injury might be quite serious as well
now beat the saints, try to use bye week as good as possible and then …. whatever happens!
we’re were not going to win superbowl anyway, so let‘s enjoy the rest of the season and whatever comes in the playoffs. this team is fun to watch and games like yesterday always happen, on to week 8!

why do you say we won’t win superbowl?
don’t get me wrong after seeing baker last night and seeing that that game is possible out of him, yeah that concerns me, but still expect this team to win 12 games minimum.
Believe me, I hate being right.
You're not going to win football games very often against good teams when your QB sports the opponent an entire half.
In the first half the Lions had the ball for almost 19 minutes. A big part of that is an offense that is 1-6 on 3rd downs. A big part of that is a QB who is 9 of 16 for 47 yards with 2 sacks and one INT . . a rating of 35.4.
A big part of that is an offensive line getting whipped by 4 rushers
Yep. This game is on the offense.

Not going to win the Super Bowl? Are you out of your god damned mind? Of course Tampa wins the Super Bowl. Simply put, we are the best team in the league.

If Mayfield plays even close to his norm for this season we probably win that game. The defense held the LIons below their home scoring average and our basic scoring average leading up to the game puts us in. win territory.
No one likes to lose but there are many reasons to still be upbeat. Just beat the Saints!
A few great things to see from that game
Diaby with a strip sack and 2 TFL
the INT
4 sacks
Parrish steadying himself after being schooled by one of the best receivers in the game. Parrish is legit
Morrison doing well on his snaps
Tez recovering from not knowing the offense (lol) to a fantastic TD
White's first run, which will probably draw a fine, but way to try to set the tone
Bowles confusing Goff on a couple blitzes
TYKEE SMITH - under appreciated (maybe) star in making who brings a ton of swagger to the D. He gets blocked on the long Gibbs run, but otherwise was making plays all over\.
YOU COULD EVEN SAY . .
Dennis went from looking like a clown in the first series to one hell of a blitz
the run defense -- they let a big one out, but otherwise held the Lions to 3.5ish
Dennis is a liability and its really bad. Hes one of the biggest reason this defense is giving up huge plays. Hes been in coverage on almost all of them. I hate to place the blame on just 1 player but he is killing us. If we don't find a Mike Lber to replace him and quickly itll be more of the same every single week.
Pretty amazing defensive stat from NextGen
"Next Gen Stats Insight from Buccaneers-Lions (via NFL Pro): Jared Goff finished just 1 for 7 on passes over 10 air yards for 24 yards and an interception. Lions pass catchers gained 194 yards after the catch, the fifth-most by any team in a game this season, with YAC accounting for 80.5% of Goff’s passing yards."
Gibbs had 92 YAC and ASB had 46
Incomplete job by the Bucs defense, but also pretty dominant play by the back end. Goff threw for 241, so minimize those two YAC stats and you have something more like 20/29 for 140 1 TD and 1 INT
To put that in perspective Goff has been completing pass at a 75% clip, he was 68% versus the Bucs but 244 average in passing so 140 would've been dominant.
Still a good ACTUAL defensive performance, but also highlighting the weakness at LB. The first big ASB reception really stands out.

"The Savior" has been absolute trash all year long.
Good LB class coming out next draft and sprinkle in a FA.
Both LVD and Dennis should be gone next year.

This will be interesting to see because Bowles talks about Dennis like he is the heir apparent to LVD and that could mean the green dot wearing down hill run stopper and blitzer. Bowles is alos super loyal, even to a fault.
LVD is 100% retiring. He is a liability in several aspects. Dennis is trash so far, especially versus expectation of coverage, but he had a good blitz, some run stops etc.
His over run of the ASB was bad on so many levels, especially with the sideline and another defender there
In case there was any doubt
“The connection between him and [Emeka Egbuka], Mecca didn’t practice all week as well, and then he was not all the way 100 percent there. So we were going with half a deck there,” Bowles said. “But at the same time, we gotta make plays. We gotta find different ways to make plays. We gotta coach it better and we definitely gotta play it better.”
Not LVD! DONT YOU TELL ME I NEED TO WATCH HIM LEAVE WITH EVANS! DONT YOU BRING THAT EVIL INTO THIS HOUSE! ITS NOT OVER, DAMN YOU! :(Dennis is a liability and its really bad.
