Wesley Woodyard is an underrated LB of the Denver broncos who I believe would transfer well into the cover 2 Sam LB position. Woodward excels in covering the TE and is very physical. Also has great sideline to sideline speed. He had a down year in the Denver defense as teams were keying on him with Von Miller out. In our defense he would probably be a 40 snaps or less a game player, assuming we run a lot of nickel and dime packages.Who's in on this with me?
Great talent. At what price?
I think he can be had. In the nfl.com list of free agents he is ranked 91 of 101, citing he fell out of favor moving to MLB position. I think the price could be fair. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000329702/article/jimmy-graham-heads-top-101-nfl-free-agents-for-2014
Been calling for him for months. He would thrive in Lovies system and give us to legit nickel backers!
I'm a fan of Woodyard. For the right price bring him on board.
Dude is a badass.
Being a Kentucky fan, bringing in Wes would be amazing. Guy was such a badass at UK and has been very good for the Broncos.
this would be sweet.
I live in Denver, and there's a reason he's not being re-signed. He had a good 2012, but his play dropped off significantly this season and he lost his starting job. I'm not saying he couldn't regain his previous form, but I would hope the Bucs wouldn't overpay or count on him to be anything more than a role player.
