Two plays from the Bucs’ loss to the Titans may eventually define their first season under Bruce Arians: Jameis Winston taking a snap off his facemask and losing a fumble to set up a touchdown and receiver Breshad Perriman’s comic collision with running back Dare Ogunbowale on third and goal.

“It’s very simple plays. That’s the frustrating (thing) for me, is how am I not getting anything across?’’ said Arians, whose team plays at Seattle in a 4:05 p.m. game Sunday. “Why is this not getting across? Because I’ve seen it get across for a long time, and for whatever reason, it isn’t happening, and we’ve got to find out why.”

It starts, of course, with the Bucs’ failure to protect the football. They have committed 11 turnovers in the past two games. Their 17 giveaways this season are tied for the second-most in the league. The bottom five teams in that category have lost a combined 22 of 29 games.

Uncharacteristically, receiver Chris Godwin failed to turn a couple of routes inside in Nashville, and both led to interceptions. Cornerback Carlton Davis lined up wrong on the Titans’ go-ahead touchdown pass.
