Strongest: Wide Receiver
We have 4 legitimate #1 / #2 WRs on 75% of NFL teams.
In Evans and D-Jax we have the most dynamic high point/big body and speed combo in the NFL. I could easily see Godwin develop to become a true #1b receiver like we've seen rarely in the NFL (Carter-Moss, Wayne-Harrison, ect.) opposite Mike Evans by 2020. Hump is a serviceable slot guy with sure hands. And the x-factor is Watson who could have Jordy Nelson/Roddy White like skills.
Weakest: Running Back
We are one awkward jump cut ACL tear to RoJo II away from having zero explosion in the backfield.
Dear Lord protect that young man's body from injury. I'd still like to see us sign Orleans Darkwa, Matt Jones or ideally CJ Anderson to truly solidify this position.
Most Improved: Defensive End
Even with no draft picks added to DE I still say this group takes a "Giant" leap towards top 10 status in 2018. Adding JPP takes serious pressure off Noah Spence heading into his 3rd year. I think he'll be able to simply play free and fly to the ball rather than pressing to outplay his development. Remember this kid was once more highly touted at OSU than Joey Bosa. He still has superstar potential and will now have brothers in arms to take the pressure off. Curry was a leader in pressures over the last few seasons and with consistent big push from McCoy, Vea and Allen will finally reap the rewards of a collapsing pocket.
I see 26 total sacks from this group in 2018. 9 for JPP, 6 for Spence, 5 for Curry, 4 for Clarke and 2 for Gholston.
